Me: standing rib roast. Still pondering sides but definitely some kind of potatoes.
What's on your Christmas Day menu?

I'm not making Christmas Day dinner (that I know of, things tend to change in my family from minute to minute), but I'd love a Honeybaked Spiral cut ham with homemade cheesy potato/vegetable casserole (I've made this for over 20 years, real cheese, etc., everybody loves it), Hawaiian rolls, a delicious salad and other side dishes.
It would be great to try goose for Christmas, but no thanks on me making it; I'd rather try it at someone's house who is accustomed to making it. No thanks on turkey. I'd also love some deliciously prepared prime rib. Haven't had that in at least 4 or 5 years or more.

Prime rib is ridiculously easy but so expensive.

My daughter did not spend Thanksgiving with me, and she asked for a Thanksgiving dinner on Christmas. I am happy to oblige. Butterball with all the trimmings and sides.
Then I'll wrap up all the leftovers for her to take home.

Whole salmon side on the BBQ with salt, pepper and lime juice, prawns, scallops and mussels. We are 'Downunder' so all food is eaten outside with salads and loads of alcohol, followed by a swim. Our friends come to us as we live my the beach. Everybody pitches in making it fun for all. 6 weeks of holidays...yay!

I am having a typical DataLounger Day. All alone. Missing my friends who left before me. Maybe watch some porn.

Martinis, Duck a L'Orange (sounds fancy but it's easy. Hardest part is going to Chinatown to get the ducks), fondant potatoes per Chef John, roasted Brussels sprouts, sourdough baguette, cranberry upside down cake. Pinot Gris.
