Germany Thwarted Dramatic Coup - 25 Arrests

I did search DL for this new story; so apologies if it's already been posted somewhere.

This is an astonishing story. An old German Prince wanted to overthrow the government and install himself and his band of merry men as the de facto head of state and leaders. They even approached the Russian government to see if they'd do business with the new German King.

They were willing to kill people to achieve this insane mission.

The world's gone mad.

There's already a Wikipedia article on the planned coup in English:

[quote] One Russian woman was also arrested and the plotters allegedly planned to cooperate with Russia, but a spokesperson from the Russian Embassy in Berlin denied any involvement.

Quelle surprise . . .

The lunatic princeling apparently went to Russia's embassy in Berlin, investigating if Russia were willing to acknowledge 'the new government' once the coup would succeed.

It's gone indeed - someone from the Reichsbürger cunts has probably delete it. I'm copying the Wikipedia article into here:

[quote] On 7 December 2022, 25 members of a right-wing terrorist group were arrested for planning a coup d'état in Germany.[1] The group called "Patriotic Union" (Patriotische Union) or "The Council" (Der Rat) is a German right-wing extremist Reichsbürger group. The group aimed to establish a totalitarian monarchic government in Germany in the tradition of the German Empire. The group wanted to provoke chaos and a civil war in Germany in order for it to take power. The group also advocated for taking the Bundestag by force and undertaking mass executions. Over 3,000 police searched 130 locations throughout Germany and made several arrests, including Heinrich Reuss, a descendant of the House of Reuß, also referred to as Prince Heinrich XIII, as well as former Alternative for Germany MP Birgit Malsack-Winkemann[2]. The group also included active military and police personnel. The operation against the group is considered to be the largest in Germany's history, and the Public Prosecutor General Peter Frank declared the group to be a terrorist organisation.[3]

[quote] Some of the approximately more than 50 organisers were said to be members of the Reichsbürger movement, a cluster of far-right groups which reject the current Germany and want to return to the situation of the time of the German Empire (or "Second Reich"), and who are associated with violence and antisemitism. The group was divided into areas of responsibility. The Federal Public Prosecutor has 52 suspects and arrested 25 of them.

The gang also included several former members of the Special Forces Command (KSK), including a former Staff Sergeant of the Paratrooper Battalion of the Bundeswehr, Rüdiger von P. The GSG9 searched a KSK site of the Graf Zeppelin Barracks near Calw. Rüdiger von P. was supposed to lead the "military arm" of the group. The Federal Public Prosecutor describes von P. alongside Heinrich Reuss as a "ringleader". Von P. is said to have tried to recruit police officers and soldiers.[4]

A lawyer and judge in the state of Berlin, Birgit Malsack-Winkemann, was designated as the future "minister of justice".[5] She was a member of the German Bundestag from 2017 to 2021 for the AfD and was arrested on 7 December 2022.[5] The group included at least one other AfD politician, an AfD Stadtrat from Olbernhau in the Saxon Ore Mountains.[6] Other members were doctors and at least one was an entrepreneur. According to Der Spiegel, the "Patriotic Union" group had "an unusual amount of money" with which they had bought weapons, but also satellite phones. One of the properties, Jagdschloss Waidmannsheil in Bad Lobenstein, belonging to ringleader Reuss, raided by police serves as the business address for several corporate companies linked to the London-based asset management firm Heinrich XIII. Prinz Reuß & Anderson & Peters Ltd..[7][8]

[quote] The aim of the group wanted to establish a totalitarian government referencing to the German Empire of 1871. Since November 2021 the network had been planning an armed attack on the Bundestag, as well as public arrests of politicians to cause public unrest. The "Patriotic Union" assumed that parts of the German security authorities would then have shown solidarity with the terrorist group, which would have led to an "overthrow" and the group would have taken power.[9] Some plotters were supposedly QAnon followers and Covid deniers.[1] The planned coup included a storming of the Reichstag, the German parliament building, inspired by the January 6 United States Capitol attack from 2021.[10]

[quote] German police authorities have been investigating the group since spring 2022. The group is also made up of parts of the radicalized German Querdenken movement. Reuss was the starting point for the investigations, which ended up being carried out by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) under the name "Shadow". In addition, several state criminal investigation offices and state authorities for the protection of the constitution were involved. German authorities stated that the coup had been planned since November 2021 and would have been a violent, terroristic overthrow of the current government. Police had first learned about them in April 2022, when they arrested members of the so-called "United Patriots" who were said to have planned to abduct Karl Lauterbach, the Federal Ministry of Health of Germany.[1] In September 2022 they started with the close monitoring of 52 suspects.

by Anonymousreply 9December 7, 2022 8:38 PM

[quote] Around 3,000 police officers were involved with the operations to arrest the conspirators, who mainly came from the southern German states Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, but also included people in 9 other German states and in Austria and Italy. Among the people arrested were aristocrats, including a member of the House of Reuss, Heinrich Reuss,[11] former Member of Parliament for the far-right Alternative for Germany party Malsack-Winkemann, and former and active members of the military.[1] One Russian woman was also arrested and the plotters allegedly planned to cooperate with Russia, but a spokesperson from the Russian Embassy in Berlin denied any involvement.[10]

There are some seriously high-profile people involved in this lunacy. A judge! For Christ's sake...

From that judge cunt's Wikipedia article (translated from German):

On December 7, 2022, Malsack-Winkemann was arrested in Berlin on suspicion of planning a violent coup and as a suspected supporter of an extreme right-wing terrorist organization[24] and flown by helicopter to the headquarters of the Federal Prosecutor General and the Federal Supreme Court in Karlsruhe.[25] The arrest occurred during a nationwide raid against a total of 52 suspects of an extreme right-wing grouping of the Reich Citizens' Movement, in which Malsack-Winkemann, along with Heinrich XIII. Prince Reuss and Lieutenant Colonel Rüdiger von Pescatore[26] Malsack-Winkemann is said to have held a leading position (22 suspected members as well as three suspected supporters were arrested).[27] Media reported that she was to be appointed justice minister of a putschist government after the planned coup.[28] According to investigators, she had urged the conspiratorial group to move quickly.[29]

The Wikipedia entry got restored. Probably won't take long before some far-right cunt will take it down again.
