Every time I see that opening, I thank God for Central Park Conservancy. Central Park used to be a mess, as demonstrated in that shot. CPC took over the park and made it beautiful.

I'm a Canadian and a friend and I went to New York City a number of years ago. We went to Central Park and found it so boring that we turned around and left - and we told the Park to fly a kite!!!
