This had to be one of William Shatner's first TV appearances. I loved the tender, skittish Jessica Tandy.

My all-time favorite episode. The first time I saw it I was floored at the ending!

R2 This episode tied with The Jar as my favorite.

I always thought this episode would symbolically appeal to the gays.

I love the shot where she looks longingly at the happy couple in a restaurant and just keeps reading her book, and the narrator says something like, “She accepted that a love like that is something she would never know.”
