Hoping to learn from other's experiences. An elderly relative can no longer be fully independent. Trying to figure out best way forward. Mean and caustic drunk so many in family have distanced. A recent hospital stay and recuperation in a rehab for PT have given a small time window when detoxxed to figure out next steps. I have heard that many AL facilities have active social drinking scenes and that it's possible to be evicted for excessive drinking or poor treatment of staff. If I try to set up home care and Uber, treatment of aides and drinking are also factors. Narcs and drunks are so difficult and so many bridges have been burned. Anyone BTDT and have tips for how to create something workable? TIA.
Anyone have tips on finding Assisted Living or Home Health Aides for elderly alcoholic?

Have you seen the price for home care? And can you or he afford it?

Find an aide who is really unattractive and is having a hard time being hired because of it. Be honest and generous with the help, and you will be rewarded with their loyalty.
