Dublin is an absolutely amazing city. Vibrant, great food and loads to do (from a tourist’s perspective.)

Irish people are very warm and it’s easy to get to know them. The Dutch on the other hand are polite, but will keep you at an arm’s length until they get to know you. For the people who said Amsterdam, it is a tougher nut to crack, but the city does offer some off the beaten track activities that are pretty great.

^ Irish and great food are words that don’t go together, in any context. I love Ireland, great people, lovely countryside, sometimes oddly tepid beer but still top notch. Their food? Absolutely not. Unless you mean international cuisine served in restaurants. I’ve been to several high end restaurants which had very decent continental food.
