Brilliant!
And the lyrics are really appropriate for selling insurance
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 19, 2022 2:52 AM |
I actually think he looks better now.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 19, 2022 2:57 AM |
Here's a nice interview with Rick from this summer.

The official animated version of his most famous hit.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 19, 2022 3:17 AM |
I’d eat his ass.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 19, 2022 3:35 AM |
I was a kid when that song was originally released, but count me among those who didn't expect that voice to come from a skinny white man. Looking back, I think he was adorable. Sexy, even. I agree with R1. He looks fantastic now.
And I love that people have embraced him, and the song (regardless of the fact that it largely had to do with an internet meme, amd a wave of nostalgia for the era). Bravo, sir.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 19, 2022 3:36 AM |
[quote] I’d eat his ass.
Yeah, R11, but to be fair you'd eat anything's ass except the creature with no anus (see link).
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 19, 2022 3:37 AM |
He's finally embracing his greying red hair. I wasn't a fan of the dyed black hair he tried to pull for years.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 19, 2022 3:40 AM |
This is called aging well, bitches.
Shocking it's on a British man, but hey, good for him.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 19, 2022 8:32 AM |
Why are they jumping on this meme train years after it’s left the station, returned, and is now parked in the yard, oxidizing?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 19, 2022 9:16 AM |
The public loves this sort of treacly nostalgia.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 19, 2022 9:18 AM |
Is he still brother-in-law to kiddie porn enthusiast Pete Townsend?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 19, 2022 2:05 PM |
I believe his sister divorced Townsend a while ago, R18.

Jay Kay was SO adorable.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 20, 2022 1:21 AM |
Always loved you, Rick.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 5, 2022 2:53 PM |
He had rather a pudding-y face as a youth.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 5, 2022 3:01 PM |
He looks great! I've been following him and he's put out some really good music beyond what he did with SAW (Stock Aitken Waterman.) The man has an amazing voice that never needed to be auto-tuned.
And I'm one of the very few people that I know of that loves the way he moves/dances - then and now. Very languid and sexy to me.
He's still got it. Can't say that about many.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 5, 2022 3:06 PM |
he's a dork
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 5, 2022 3:08 PM |
His voice is good. But he has Big Dad Energy and that includes his stagecraft. It's funny how he wanted to move on from the slick SAW machine but the music he made after was just as slick but forgettable.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 5, 2022 3:08 PM |
Blasphemy, R27. Rick can still get it.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 6, 2022 2:28 AM |
Love him.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 9, 2022 4:04 AM |
Fuckin terrible. Is he boy george or michael mcdonald or george michael? No. And none of them were great either. This Rick dude is goofy. Is there a pub he plays in england?
don't dance dad

R32 = bitter sad millennial
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 9, 2022 4:41 AM |
I AM a millennial, sometimes sad. We're all born bitter baby and the rest is finding your way to love, R33. rick white dad assless ain't it. He's terrible even by old white gay DL standards. Who was he? (rhetorical) I figure he is lulus brother. Rick had this one hit back in the 60s. never gonna give you up or give up singing this song 50 years later. go rick
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 9, 2022 4:55 AM |
Enjoying your latest meth binge, loser R32/R34?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 9, 2022 5:03 AM |
^^ Ancient white racist FAG!! ^^
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 9, 2022 5:11 AM |
^^ methed-up millennial cunt crumb. Sad. You need some cheering up, bitter queen.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 9, 2022 5:17 AM |
^ rick assless - now with red hair!! Who the fuck wants that 70 year old ginger flab ass white dad dancer? Disco is DEAD. its not a great song and daddy rick was ugly, R37.
Get out your Donna Summers records. She hated fags and destroyed music, but the nasty homophobic bitch could sing.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 9, 2022 5:22 AM |
^^ R38's definitely on a meth binge. Check out this freak's other drugged-up rants via Ignore-dar.
What's it like being a sad lonely drug addict pathetically going after a guy whose song's been viewed a billion+ times, sad old junkie R38?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 9, 2022 5:26 AM |
Lots of quick cuts in that video, or else you'd see he looks like this.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 9, 2022 5:27 AM |
I wouldn't mention ignore dar if I were you gramps @ R39. You have so many accounts and post day and night on this site. You're a RACIST old man, almost 80 years old & full of hate. With a full diaper.
You W&Ws your own posts relentlessly and absurdly - because you never say anything of value. You talk to yourself constantly from your various accounts and devices. Your fascinations and fetishes and sad attempts to relive your youth are well known to most DL posters.
I've never seen meth in my life. That's some old white fag's kinda drug.
Looks like Rick Assley has had a lot of that. John Mulaney too.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 9, 2022 5:35 AM |
You see a lot of fictional boogie men between your deranged rants, you sad pathetic person; wrong on all counts and a sad desperate lonely loon. Pot, kettle, black. You fully infest multiple threads with your textual booger drag. You are a disease.
Don't underestimate my being not interested; go get elsewhere, really.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 9, 2022 5:45 AM |
Best song ever.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 9, 2022 5:48 AM |
So sorry about your schizophrenia diagnosis, r34. This thread is better served by ignoring your posts.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 9, 2022 5:50 AM |
R44 is also R43 and R42. See how that works? Use ignore dar and watch the sick patterns unfold. It posts to support itself. Sad OLD man.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 9, 2022 6:00 AM |
Um, nope, deranged old hag, R45.
I'm R33, R35, R42. You're the one who got butthurt into a fling spittle-spewing rage over one comment, crazy old ossified ninny.
And STFU with the "gramps" attempt at insults; rather hypocritical coming from an old queen who listed 1940s movies as a fave in the 'Guilty Pleasure Films" thread.
You're a sad old deranged queen.
Back to Rickrolling:
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 9, 2022 6:05 AM |
Huh? Donna Summers hated disco AIDS fags too.
Who doesn't like old movies?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 9, 2022 6:08 AM |
Sorry R45. Since the site doesn't have an edit button, many on here will think of something they'd like to add to a posted comment & will follow up their previous post with it.
That doesn't mean that they're talking with themselves unless they try to play cheerleader to one of their previous posts.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 9, 2022 6:09 AM |
R46, if you didn't block everyone who triggered you, you'd know that video was already posted by R8.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 9, 2022 6:09 AM |
I'm not blocking anyone, R49. I like seeing the shrieking freak unravel like a cornered rat.
"sick patterns?" The only sick patterns are R45's hideous drag and her pathological deranged rants.
Booger drag queen. Keep it up! Your harpy hissfest is mildly entertaining.

^ the ubiquitous poster is also known as miss warwicke, whose ancient white racist faggotty ass was long ago banned from DL.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | October 9, 2022 6:20 AM |
It doesn’t get much attention but I like his early 90s hit cry for help with the andrae crouch choir backing him. He has the cute/dorky thing going on and it’s nice to see him having a comeback.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 9, 2022 6:21 AM |
I’ve always loved him, so many happy memories of getting his cassette for Xmas ‘87. His songs come up very often on my iTunes random, & I’m so happy when they do, I never skip them (unlike Idina’s Xmas album which somehow comes up way too often & I always skip, even when it’s the actual season).
I remember the shock when Rick grew his hair for the vid above.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | October 9, 2022 6:23 AM |
Uh, no, but thanks for playing, blind Nancy Drew, R51 (which is also your age).
Keep snapping and gnawing, fat black racist cunt drop.

by Anonymous | reply 57 | October 9, 2022 8:00 AM |
Opening this thread was like visiting the common room of an insane asylum.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | October 9, 2022 8:06 AM |
I love that he embraces his pop heyday and he seems to enjoy it too.
Although Rick is not a one-hit-wonder, that song will fund him for life. It's so iconic and has connected with younger generations. The "Rick-Roll" was probably the best thing to ever happen to him because it connected him to a whole new generation of fans and the memes, jokes and "Rick-Rolled" basically being used as slang will keep him popular.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | October 9, 2022 8:10 AM |
Jesus, that "Cry for Help" song is tedious.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | October 9, 2022 10:44 AM |
Love Cry for Help, and do like the young lad with his long hair. He does acoustic songs on his YT channel. He came on stage with Foo Fighters to sing Never Gonna Give You Up, and at the end startled me when he yelled '30 years, bitches!'
by Anonymous | reply 61 | October 9, 2022 6:41 PM |
That R51 poor-house nose picker (you can take the fool out of the field but he WILL keep picking something) certainly gets things wrong.
But IQs of 64 do that, especially if Mama drank and the abortion failed.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | October 22, 2022 4:48 PM |
R34 can’t even get facts correct. It wasn’t the 60’s. About two to three decades off. But facts are not relevant anymore.
