"Glorious" was filmed during the pandemic when everything was shutdown and nothing else was going on. Apparently, JK is a fan of H.P. Lovecraft and was sent the script by his agent. As it was strictly voice work, he didn't even need to go to location. Ryan & JK rehearsed a lot over Zoom and weren't even on set together.

I don't think Simmons is hard up for work. He seems to be one of those in-demand character actors who were never out of work...like Jack Warden or Richard Jaeckel or any of those old character actors.

I don't read reviews but I do act on friends' recommendations. There's too much to choose from now to just watch anything. I don't want to waste time on a film I know nothing about.
