Gurl, I had to start taking a blood thinner several months ago, so I have to be more careful that usual about little cuts. So, I got a pair of cut-resistant glove for kitchen use from Amazon.

Better safe than sorry OP! I recently sliced my thumb pretty deeply using a mandolin. It eventually stopped bleeding so I didn’t go get stitches. But man it was scary when it kept on bleeding. It is healed now so I’m OK.

R13 I had a cut on the side of my foot that was deep and bled for a long time. I left it alone and it stopped bleeding, but it took a while to heal and also almost got infected.

2 hours later and blood was still flying out.

Did this happen in Brooklyn?

Sorry, OP! I've cut my hand on a pull-top can of tuna. Also cut my hand cutting carrots while drinking too much alcohol (carrot rolled while under the blade and, luckily, fingernail took most of the damage.

I cut myself with a bread knife and as the blood poured out I thought, “This is going take forever to heal!”

Get well soon OP! It's good you had it done. I currently have a taped cut on my jawbone because I had a little birth mark removed. The doc who removed the stitches taped it with these strips you see on boxer's brows. Today at the grocery store, I was standing in line with a man with several stitches that didn't look very professional. The cashier gave us a funny look. Probably also because I am almost a foot less tall than the other guy.
