II Corinthians walk into a bar, and Trump became president.
How Trump talks about his faith: ‘God is the ultimate’

God is a work of fiction.
If only Trump were…

Adam Kinzinger warns that some Christians now 'equate Donald Trump with the person of Jesus Christ,' calls out pastors who support Trumpism.

If this man actually walked into a church, lightning would strike him.

Jesus wept.

It’s potentially a beautiful thing.
Donald Trump is so distanced from the Christian values he espouses, when the crimes he has committed are laid out for the American public, the ever-distintigrating separation of Church and State may be solidified.

Donald’s father was a follower of Norman Vincent Peale, and that was his churchgoing experience as a young legacy grifter.

Which "major stuff"? His ex-wives croaking?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 18, 2022 2:32 PM |
One thing that is obvious. Trump is too hideous and charmless to be the anti-Christ.

As I understand the Republican/Evangelist point of view, God is the ultimate MAGAT. Not sure Jesus would be happy about that, but the God of the Old Testament might go along with it.
Irrelevant anyway: we know Trump recognises no higher power than himself.

Can we stop it with all the Cheeto threads?
The more he's written about, the more popular he remains, right through to the next election.
Just stop it.

I do know a lot of evangelicals who voted for Trump solely because of his pro-life stance.
They also know he is only pro-life because he knows that's the only way he will get an evangelical vote.

R12 - He fits the 'Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!' part perfectly. (Matt 7:21-23)

I’ll stop posting about Donald when she stops trying to install himself as my country’s dictator for life.

Does he think of Jesus when he sexually abuses women or when he starts a coup? How about when he's ripping kids away from their parents at the border? Maybe when he's shoveling money to the rich?

It's really Trump's only move... the religious reich reboot is an attempt to clear out the trumpers, to which the majority are walkaways rather than dyed in the wool republicans. . . it's unfortunate that dems are so against the third parties, otherwise, it'd hurt the republicans more this time around but as usual, they blanket the right as the big bad and are too caught up in their own purity witch hunt.

He has , no doubt, paid for MANY abortions. The MAGAts are imbeciles for not seeing this. He raped a 13 year old, in Jeffrey Epstein's apartment no less, yet these idiots think he is working to eliminate pedophiles. One of the tRumpanzees held up a sign at their FNI protest which said "In Trump we trust:! These fools WORSHIP this fat, stupid, boorish, lying, narcissistic sack of orange shit!!!

That’s on odd tangent, but the Dems only have so much say in the formation of third parties.
My prediction is that Cheney will run as an independent. Which would definitely help the Democrats.

r25 They see third parties as disrupters and believe if they're "left" then they should just join the established Dems... though all of us, including the party as a whole recognizes the problems of trying to integrate other "leftists" into the party, which they largely want to remain silent to the status quo and yet rarely do, leading numerous disruptions and power struggles.
The same, of course, is true of Republicans and that's what we can largely see with this rabid move to re-establish the religious reich. . . as a means to placate the masses, particularly the opiate for the religious, as well as largely being driven less by evangelists this time around than Catholic separatists (think hardcore conservative and bordering on far right but those terms are perhaps meaningless to someone that views all of the right as nazis. Alth) -- the right's intelligentsia... unfortunately, they also end up empowering fringe groups like the groypers, which are making another comeback and will likely fill the void of trumpism for those that remain. Similar to how radical fringe groups have carved out a place among Dems and continue to try to push a far left agenda far outside the party's platform.
Both sides are clueless (as they've always been) on attracting, retaining and ultimately, controlling young voters... they're not as likely to hav e awin with trying to get back to a religious fundamnetlaist platform.
Democrats are struggling with message and direciton... few want to address the problems with Biden and Kamala, especially with the bids of another election. The party is in disarray on that front. They're really fucking up with not putting more weight behind Gavin right now. I think he's a problematic candidate but he's the one moving into position against DeSantis.. which has given him social points.
DeSantis, despite his hard conservative stance, isn't going to fit within the religious reich too well, though. It will be more interesting watching his makeover for it in coming months.
Trump moving into this position is just a sideshow. It's an attempt to claw at relevancy... its a death rattle.
social strategies would be making Truimp a wedge issue for Republicans. . . largely by attacking his more progressive values, especially former appointees and associates of his administration. Have you been watching the fight between the new religious reich and the lgbt former officials? Or just his "hollywood status" -- the new right has been pushing that more heavily against Trump in the last few years. So, yes, they want him out but right now he's a necessary evil as they try to transition his voters into the establishment party and they have to delicately maneuver around him. But like Democrats, they're walking on egg shells. But luckily for both, Americans are stupid.
