In every congregation, of all denominations, there will always be a group that will support corrupt pastors and leaders no matter what.
Same applies to businesses. Even cults where the leaders have gone to jail Stull have loyal members.
I've never quite understood this psychology. I suppose they need to belong to something to make their lives livable no matter what.
