I’ll share them!
It’s pretty personal but I don’t care anymore haha! It was super therapeutic. His favorite film is “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.
I built on it for a while like a diary and it’s crazy cause it starts off kind of angry and then by the end, my mind set started to be more peaceful.
“Thirty Three” by the Smashing Pumpkins means so much to me. Last year I was 33 and I left a relationship and a job after 11 years and that song touched me more than it ever had. And “deep in thought I forgive everyone as the cluttered streets greet me once again”.
I’m being corny but yeah.

r28, I want a whole lot of 'fuck you'.
r27, thank you.

I’ll share the other one.
This was probably the first 2 weeks I found out he cheated with his crazy ex-girlfriend. I felt like I wrote the songs myself. This playlist is fucking messy but that’s how I felt and every song attacks him. It tells the whole story, you can literally find out what happened track by track lol. I’m really proud of it, it felt like I recorded an album Hahahaha! Again, it was therapeutic for me. He betrayed me with his emo junkie ex.
“Rock Star” is about him being a poser, “Ask Him For Adderall” is LITERAL! Literally! She was giving him adderall, that’s how I started to become suspicious he always had it on him. He loved Halsey and I turned the song around on him. The crazy ex was a junkie. There’s a lot of his favorite punk bands and my responses to them.
And like I said he loved “Eternal Sunshine” so there’s a lot of songs that reference it.
He was always chasing the “manic pixie girl”, Clementine in the movie being an example and I always said those girls aren’t real, they were written by men and that’s what the cover of the playlist represents. He never understood it.
The end of the playlist is his favorite bands covering one of my favorite artist (Yoko Ono) he hated. Lol.
“Ugly People with Fancy Hairdos” is him x2000000. I felt like I wrote that song about him. Attacks his boredom, his poser behavior, his bisexuality, his anger, etc.

Thank you, r32, I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy vicariously going through your break-up much more than I am my own.

R33 Thank you! I’m glad I could share them and I’m glad I made them and never deleted them (as I thought about doing it) and they can help somebody else!

R32 Thanks for sharing these!
P.S. - Let's don't type "lol" if we're out of high school, dear.

Labelle "Isn't It A Shame"
Play this one really loud after you've finished packing and you're just doing your final pass to make sure you got everything that's yours.

R2 Long, Long Time isn't a breakup song. It's about a love that never was. She's pining for the guy who won't love her back.
"I can't say you hurt me when you never let me near
And I never drew one response from you
All the while you fell all over girls you never knew
'Cause I've done everything I know to try and make you mine
And I think it's gonna hurt me for a long long time."

Someone played "Long Long Time" at me as he was breaking up with me, r71. You have your breakup music, I'll have mine.
What *is* yours, btw? Or are you just posting to cunt at me?
r2

R72 So the person who played "Long, Long Time" when he was breaking up with you didn't know it was a song about unrequited love?
Sounds like you dodged a bullet by avoiding having to spend a long, long time with somebody who doesn't understand what song lyrics mean.

R74 That song just kills me every time I hear it. I think it's one of Christina's best vocals, too. She avoids her usual riffing and trilling up and down the scale and just sings. Her voice blends beautifully with the other guy's.
