We have had to fight and push and raise hell to gain any ground as far as human rights go. And we are still doing it. And it is still going on in Europe. The whole notion of the Rich Lords and their serfs morphs into present day corporations and billionaires trying to control and exploit. And we have to keep pushing back. It'd never resolved and that is true no matter which country you live in. The most successful democracies are the ones where the people are well informed and stay engaged.

Before covid I worked at an upscale hotel in the back office. We had a pretty nice lobby bar population with the boaters as the hotel was had a marina.
