These 50 democratic candidates need your help!

These are the battleground candidates that will make or break this house election in November 2022.

Democrats can hold the house if they act now. Use the latest poll numbers for motivation. It’s working.

Are any of these your district? Nearby?

It really doesn’t matter because anyone in the US can donate and/or volunteer for a district in need.

I just donated to Marcy Kaptur

Donate and get out in your community. All hands on deck!

This is exciting. Democrats are going to do really well in an off year which is odd for incumbent parties.

Now they will be able to really put this country back on track and drown out the republicans that want to destroy it.

by Anonymousreply 3August 14, 2022 6:39 PM

I’m going to pick 10 districts that have the closets taxes and donate 100 to each of dem candidates.

I know some can donate more and some less. so I’m donating half of that for a friend who would do it if they had the cash …I’m going to donate in his name as a gift and tell him after, he will be so thrilled.

by Anonymousreply 4August 14, 2022 6:42 PM

*closest races

by Anonymousreply 5August 14, 2022 6:42 PM

I have a bad feeling that if republicans win they will start locking up gays and liberals.

This is the least we can do.

by Anonymousreply 6August 14, 2022 6:44 PM

This money goes to buy ads and yard signs and helps to get out the counter message to trump and republicans.

by Anonymousreply 7August 14, 2022 6:45 PM

Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are particularly crucial, according to Represent.Us

It’s critical that everyone understands the violence that is aimed at scaring nonpartisan election workers and weakening our elections. Anything that you can do to spread awareness and support the pro-democracy movement counters the big money interests who want to undermine our elections.

^ Two PA Dems you can donate to are Chris Deluzio and Susan Wild. There's also Ashley Ehasz, who is running against Brian Fitzpatrick in a swing district

by Anonymousreply 9August 16, 2022 12:58 AM

R6, you sound unhinged. Someone says this every single year, and it’s so ridiculous and off putting, I almost assume they’re Republican plants.

by Anonymousreply 10August 16, 2022 1:02 AM

Winning the House is so important.

by Anonymousreply 11August 16, 2022 1:02 AM

I suspect there are just 3 gung-ho people posting in this thread.

by Anonymousreply 12August 16, 2022 1:03 AM

R10 huh? Republicans aka traitors have already signaled that they think all gays are child molesters. Stop coming to gay websites and sticking up for republicans who want to put gays in concentration camps.

by Anonymousreply 13August 16, 2022 10:14 AM

Keep bumping this through Nov.

by Anonymousreply 14August 16, 2022 10:15 AM

R4, wow, this is a great idea. I know someone who will have his birthday in early September --- and I've got no idea what to get him for his birthday, but I'm sure he'd love such a donation in his name.

by Anonymousreply 15August 16, 2022 10:23 AM

Thank you, OP!

by Anonymousreply 16August 16, 2022 10:24 AM

R15 again ...

What's better IYO? Picking a single district and donate a larger amount of money OR picking, say, five districs and divide the amount of money you want to donate by the number of districts?

by Anonymousreply 17August 16, 2022 10:27 AM

R17 that is a good dilemma to have but I’m not sure which strategy is best.

Maybe the closest races could use the most help because they have a better chance but then if you donate to more then you can watch more on election night and feel a sense of participation across a larger area.

Either way you and your friend will feel pretty amazing if a few of your picks win on election night.

by Anonymousreply 18August 16, 2022 10:31 AM

The Democrats should reframe their latest anti-inflation bills as the cost of living/prescription drugs fight. Registered voters couldn't care less about the climate change shit. Do not put the climate change issue in the top spot, it's irrelevant.

by Anonymousreply 19August 16, 2022 10:37 AM

Fuck you, r15! You better get me them cha-cha heels!

by Anonymousreply 20August 16, 2022 10:45 AM

Make it rain on them.

by Anonymousreply 21August 16, 2022 3:05 PM

You could also pace your giving to make allowances for changes in races. Things could look a little different in a few weeks prompting donations to even closer candidates.

In other words put a few dollars back for the final stretch.

by Anonymousreply 22August 16, 2022 3:32 PM

She could use a few more signs to put her over the edge.

Ok so it’s not 50 candidates, it’s more of a representation of the 50 state strategy, these particular candidates are in defensive positions, trying to hold their blue seats in red areas.

So they definitely deserve the support.

However I am going to redo this thread later slightly differently because what I really want is the top battleground contenders and to follow them through Nov. if it turns out these two groups are really different then I’ll make a new one.

So keep this thread going or just let it merge into the possible new one coming soon.

by Anonymousreply 24August 17, 2022 5:10 AM

Sank you!

by Anonymousreply 25August 17, 2022 5:17 AM

Yet another authoritarian, racist thread from "liberals". Vote for Dems solely because they're Dems. No diff to vote for whites solely because. Or vote for blacks solely because.

by Anonymousreply 26August 17, 2022 5:30 AM

R26 = Eric Trump

by Anonymousreply 27August 17, 2022 10:23 AM

R27 = Authoritarian, racist "liberal"

by Anonymousreply 28August 17, 2022 10:43 AM

Where do they stand on crime?

by Anonymousreply 29August 17, 2022 12:18 PM

Not on someone’s neck.

by Anonymousreply 30August 17, 2022 2:19 PM

R29 it’s not 1980 anymore.

Where they stand is that they did not try to commit a coup in broad daylight.

by Anonymousreply 31August 17, 2022 4:36 PM

Coupes are technically a no no for champagne.

One should really only use them for cocktails.

by Anonymousreply 32August 17, 2022 4:41 PM

Oh please.

Democrats in this country run on a platform of "aww if only there was something we could do...anyway, did we earn your vote?"

by Anonymousreply 33August 17, 2022 4:50 PM

R33 they just passed 3 major bills in a row?

Try to turn on the news occasionally

by Anonymousreply 34August 17, 2022 5:16 PM

R26 = authoritarian racist who supports eliminating black majority districts like his fellow Republicans, while accusing others of being racist

by Anonymousreply 35August 18, 2022 6:44 PM

Send some $$ to Will Rollins if you can! He's openly gay and running against a MAGA insurrectionist

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 36August 18, 2022 6:47 PM

R28 = moron who's coming up with the same lame shit ("authoritarian", "racist") again and again.

Sad.

by Anonymousreply 37August 18, 2022 7:39 PM

I hope R36 loses.

by Anonymousreply 38August 18, 2022 7:50 PM

Slim picking at R36 - the maga or that dude, hard left or hard right. I’d leave that section blank.

by Anonymousreply 39August 18, 2022 7:50 PM

I hope R38 will get his next paycheck for his trolling in time.

by Anonymousreply 40August 18, 2022 7:52 PM

R13 you must think that we have an iq of 58 if you think anyone will buy that bs

by Anonymousreply 41August 18, 2022 7:53 PM

R38 and r39 are the same troll. Btw, he's hardly "far left" - even the most liberal members of Congress would be considered moderate to conservative in other countries

by Anonymousreply 42August 19, 2022 7:12 PM

R41 must have a low IQ. Studies show people with social conservative views are not as bright as people with more liberal views

by Anonymousreply 43August 19, 2022 7:13 PM

I thought people like you, R43, ditched the IQ tests.

by Anonymousreply 44August 20, 2022 12:25 AM

November is coming,

•Get involved NOW by contacting your election authority to become a poll worker and tell allies in red-controlled areas about:

WorkElections.org

•Next, spread the word about serving as a nonpartisan Election Protection volunteer:

ProtectTheVote.org

•Then, if you can't do either of the above: Get involved in voter mobilization efforts. Contact your local Dem party to drive voters to the polls and work registration drives. Spread the word about:

RideShare2Vote.com

Don't wait, they're already ahead of us.
