I wonder if this can be secreted in dog urine and feces. Because if so, we indeed, are fucked.

People walking their dogs could have them sniff the wrong spot. Then the dog gets infected on its nose which then gets brought into the house. Dogs who are elderly or immune compromised may not make it and need to be put down.

This is a fucking disaster.
