When can we see the contents of the search warrant?

The media are such squirrels. This is the only thing that anyone should be focusing on right now. This court case.

When should we expect a verdict?

When is it likely to be decided?

This is the only ballgame.

Because it will end all the speculation and lay out what’s there. It will end all these think pieces about what might be in there.

Well there is a court case here, you see, and that court case will have a ruling so what I want to know is when that ruling will be and what is the precedent here and likelihood of an order to release it vs an order to keep it hidden from the public?

The warrant and the inventory won’t show much - there won’t be any specificity or details about what they were looking for, or what they took. The affidavit for the warrant would at least have the specifics about what evidence the FBI presented to secure the warrant, why now, and what they were looking for.

Until that’s released, and the DOJ shows what was sought in the search warrant was indeed found at Mar-A-Lago, it’s going to keep in this cycle of “sources say” and pundits speculating ad naseum.

No, they can't, not right now, they need the court's permission. Trump could release his copies without the court's permission.

But it's all moot now that Trump has called for the warrant's release without waiting until tomorrow. (So why doesn't he just release his own copies?)

R34 what comes out of Trump's mouth and what his lawyers say in court are not always the same thing. We know this most recently from the 2020 election lawsuits. So until his lawyers say it in court, we shouldn't assume Trump is sincerely agreeing to the release. Again, he could have released the warrant himself.

Meanwhile the press is queuing up 2 different spins for when the release happens:

My 2 cents:

Trump (legally) had until 3:00 today to respond. He responded personally, but his legal team still have to respond to the court directly by 3:00. Then a/the judge will either direct DOJ to release, or will ruminate on it for an undisclosed amount of time-and then it will, or will not be allowed to be released by the DOJ. Trump could release at any point of course, but likely won’t, so he can claim the FBI version (if ok’ed by judge to be released) is falsified or inaccurate. Sow some doubt. Get more donations. More sympathy.

Buying time, diverting from facts, distracting. That’s always Trump’s defense strategy.

Arrest him already.

If he's not tried over this, the country is over.

Why were the "unclassified documents" planted by the FBI?

It's one thing that Trump is an idiot and let us all know about something under wraps, but that his lawyers did it as well is truly mind boggling

Now the same judge wants to unseal more of the documentation at the behest of the "we need ratings and clicks" media and conservatives who want to get an advantage in propaganda messaging (i.e. call it all a bunch of lies). The DOJ can provide recommended redactions along with a rationale, but this seems reckless. All I can say is, if any possible indictments and prosecutions get fucked up from this, no one from the media had better bitch about it (but you know they will anyway).

FBI's filter team is still sifting through the documents as I type.

Mark me, Garland is going to wait until after the midterms to charge Trump, at which point Trump will have already announced his presidential run, making the optics terrible for the DOJ.
