She was an awful Secretary of State. Among other things, she refused to accept/recognize Department of State employees' same-sex spouses/partners and all the benefits that go along with that. Made stupid remarks like "now is not the time, we have other more pressing priorities, the American people aren't ready to accept that yet, etc.". Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State in 2009 and almost overnight granted same-sex partner/spousal benefits to DOS employees.
