With all the Connor fanboys I’m surprised this wasn’t on someone’s radar, I had no idea it was even dropping this summer and yet here it is! Everyone is all a tizzy about The Big Gay Wedding, and our boy Connor is MIA in the first episode. Let’s hope we find him on an exotic beach somewhere in a Speedo.
I couldn't finish the first episode of the new season, there's so much of other stuff to watch and the show has always been pretty blah. Might return to it sporadically.

Ugh, no Connor on a beach, just building houses and being pressured into underage drinking.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 10, 2022 8:49 PM |
Momma Locke was a hardcore alcoholic and a very messy drunk!

Season 2 was such a letdown so I don’t even know if I’m going to bother with season 3.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 10, 2022 10:27 PM |
Season 2 for some inexplicable reason dropped the female Dodge, who was the best and the most fabulous part of the show. The finale redeemed it, but only barely.
And now Kevin Durand is playing a prominent role in this season and I sincerely believe that guy cheapens every show he appears in.

Thomas Mitchell Barnett who played Sam was the best thing in the series. Once his arc was finished, the show went straight down the toilet. Griffin Gluck was also good but he's also history.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 10, 2022 10:40 PM |
I can't even recall who Barnett was or what he did. Gluck's arc of dating a teenager and gaslighting her every step of the way was just creepy, I didn't like that at all.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 10, 2022 10:42 PM |
Barnett was S1 and his murder of Rendle drove the entire season. Petrice Jones' Scot is one of the most boring and ineffective romantic leads imaginable and he's back. Then again, he's opposite Emilia Jones so two voids are better than one.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 10, 2022 10:50 PM |
Petrice Jones is super bland, I agree.
From what I saw of this season premiere, I spent roughly 80% of that time thinking about how Emilia Jones looks almost exactly like Jenna Coleman, who is appearing on Sandman these days. I don't know if I just never noticed that before or if her hair this season makes her look extra similar to her. The resemblance is so strong, I could barely focus on the dialogue at times. I wonder which of the two will make it in the end, we all know Hollywood famously hates doppelgängers.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 10, 2022 10:59 PM |
All the characters are so angry, negative and biting this season.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 10, 2022 11:02 PM |
R5 female Dodge made the show. Also, the first season worked so well because it left so many stories to be told in a wondrous manner. Season 2 didn’t.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 10, 2022 11:44 PM |
Is anyone watching season 3? Should I bother?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 13, 2022 2:25 PM |
There's a gay wedding in the second episode that I'm now on. However, I had to put it on pause because Never Have I Ever also dropped and I'm prioritising that right now. It's still entertaining.
I almost forgot what a hot daddy Brendan Hines was. And then he dances at the wedding and makes me fall in love with him all over again.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 13, 2022 2:36 PM |
Does this mean Connor will have to resort to OnlyFans?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 13, 2022 3:02 PM |
Okay, I just went back and finished the third episode. Holy hell, a certain iconic character is back, baby, this is going to be an awesome ride!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 13, 2022 3:35 PM |
Does the gay uncle have a storyline this season?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 13, 2022 3:42 PM |
He has his wedding in the second episode, but otherwise not much else so far. I'm on the fourth episode right now.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 13, 2022 3:51 PM |
Connor is beautiful. They shot season three when he had just broken up with Miles.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 13, 2022 4:01 PM |
Love how they introduced a gay character only to kill him

A very entertaining final season, although I can't believe they played the same trick on us twice by bringing back Laysla De Oliveira as female Dodge for only five minutes, if that. Kevin Durand doesn't possess a tenth of her menace, or fabulousness. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever forgive the show for that.
r19 Yeah, that was unfortunate.

No fans?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 22, 2022 5:08 AM |
I saw the first episode of the first season and was bored, although the set/house was cool.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 22, 2022 6:18 AM |
They seem to have gone back to season 1 storytelling.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 22, 2022 12:53 PM |
It was about what I expected.
Tyler’s romances are sweet enough, if asexual. Getting Bode back was clever I guess, but it used a new key, so it was kinda too convenient. His “mean” version was the funniest part of the season. Gideon was strong enough, but too silly at times. I really liked Nina’s short, effective arc.

Anybody watching this? I felt the first season was quite boring. Does it improve? Worth catching up on?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 23, 2022 3:08 PM |
First season was the best one, followed by the third season. So if you weren't feeling that one...
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 23, 2022 3:09 PM |
What a fun ride it was. Great show.

I'm sad it's over

What will DL fave Connor Jessup do now? Is he done frolicking around London with Sebastian Croft and can book some new work for once?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 2, 2022 11:13 PM |
the finale was utter shit
but, so too was the season...
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 2, 2022 11:25 PM |
Such high production values, but lots of missed opportunities on the writing front. Goes for the whole show, not just the last season.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 2, 2022 11:36 PM |
R29 Maybe he'll try get cast in the next Heartstopper season

He said in an interview that he's writing a screenplay.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 3, 2022 6:47 PM |
He said he had a few upcoming projects in a recent interview. We'll wait and see what they are!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 3, 2022 7:39 PM |
Sadly none are going to be porn.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 3, 2022 7:51 PM |
He already asked and has been turned down for a role in HS2.
He probably has few offers for different projects, but keeps waiting for a lead gay role where he can be the voice of his gay generation.
Just take the next fucking role, third tier!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 4, 2022 2:18 PM |
Connor is attractive but at least in L&K, he didn't demonstrate leading man charisma. Also, perhaps because of his outness, he was never believable as a straight leading man. Waiting for a leading gay role might not be a bad idea but it would forever put him in that category, which truthfully, is not the greatest for your career. I think his future will be in directing.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 4, 2022 4:20 PM |
He's too flaming, you can tell he's holding it in when he's acting.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 4, 2022 4:23 PM |
[quote] He already asked and has been turned down for a role in HS2.
Wow, that's cold after all the social media ass kissing he did with Sebastian Croft and Joe Locke.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 4, 2022 5:07 PM |
He's too old and too not British for HS to be written into that story line; and the Netflix machine has been in full swing on that production trying to maximize ROI before the 14 yo audience finds something else to obsess over.
I hope he gets something fun soon. I like watching him on screen.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 5, 2022 6:21 PM |
I just watched the entire series over the last few days. It was all very enjoyable. I think Connor is a talented actor and was very believable as straight (and I knew you bitches would be moaning about it). I really loved the kid playing Bode (not in a creepy way). He was very talented.
