by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 7, 2022 9:17 PM |
Yeesh. No doubt he looks better now that the lightning hit him.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 7, 2022 9:21 PM |
Damn. Another one.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 7, 2022 9:23 PM |
Lightnin' Strikes by Lou Christie will be playing at the funeral
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 7, 2022 9:24 PM |
Why didn't lightning hit CPAC?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 7, 2022 9:24 PM |
What was on his iPad?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 7, 2022 9:27 PM |
Damn, he was lit!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 7, 2022 9:29 PM |
Charred flesh and rain, R6.
And it's iPod, not iPad.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 7, 2022 9:32 PM |
R8 nobody uses an iPod anymore as they are no longer made. Only on the DL
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 7, 2022 9:33 PM |
Seems disgusting to brag about their company in annoucing the death of an employee.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 7, 2022 9:40 PM |
Sad
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 7, 2022 9:44 PM |
He should buy lottery on that day .
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 7, 2022 9:47 PM |
29 and vice president of a bank?
White privilege at it's best.

Lou Christie - Lightning Strikes
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 7, 2022 9:52 PM |
He was cute (check out that other photo in the link). It’s not his fault that you nasty bitches are stuck with a 300 pound husbear.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 7, 2022 10:00 PM |
An unemployed 300 lbs husbear, that is.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 7, 2022 10:02 PM |
He was cute. Before I read the headline, I thought he was Justin Trudeau.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 7, 2022 10:04 PM |
"I was walking along... minding my business... when out of an orange-colored sky...
FLASH! BANG! ALAKAZAM!"
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 7, 2022 10:14 PM |
They should play my song at the funeral.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 7, 2022 10:14 PM |
One of the first things you learn as a kid is NOT to go out in a lightning storm or stand under a tree. This guy loses his life, but yet Greg Abbott lived. Life is unfair ☹️
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 7, 2022 10:31 PM |
Well...half of Greg Abbott lived, R20...
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 7, 2022 10:48 PM |
^ God gave it a good shot
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 7, 2022 10:52 PM |
Freaky.
You rarely think of people dying from lightning strikes in a city.
I remember one time at Jones Beach. Lightning suddenly started, and we hadn't noticed that the beach had cleared out. My friend and I were terrified as there was NOTHING around us, but beach. We couldn't decide whether to hunker down and try to find cover (there was nothing but dunes) or whether to make a break for it and RUN back toward the beach entrance. We ran for it, but it freaked us out.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 7, 2022 10:54 PM |
Aim higher, OP
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 7, 2022 10:56 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 7, 2022 11:25 PM |
R4 And again and again and again!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 7, 2022 11:28 PM |
Did they find "Brooks was here" carved into the tree?

We need to get a handle on Climate Change if we want to save the Hot Snatches of the future
[quote[The hot, humid conditions in Washington, D.C., on Thursday were primed for electricity. Air temperatures topped out at 94 degrees Fahrenheit (34 degrees Celsius) – or 5F (3C) higher than the 30-year normal maximum temperature for Aug. 4, according to the National Weather Service.
[bold]Scientists say that climate change is increasing the likelihood of lightning strikes across the United States, after lightning struck at a square near the White House, leaving three people dead and one other in critical condition.[/bold]
More heat can draw more moisture into the atmosphere, while also encouraging rapid updraft – two key factors for charged particles, which lead to lightning. A key study released in 2014 in the journal Science warned that the number of lightning strikes could increase by 50% in this century in the United States, with each 1 C (1.8 F) of warming translating into a 12% rise in the number of lightning strikes. Fast-warming Alaska has seen a 17% rise in lightning activity since the cooler 1980s

Snatch?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 8, 2022 3:08 AM |
Oh, he died. That's sad. I was hoping when I clicked the link I'd find out he just got a little brown and crispy like Anne Hashbrown. ☹️
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 8, 2022 4:16 AM |
Anne Hashbrown. I'm dying . . . LOL
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 8, 2022 4:34 AM |
I’m hearing more stories of people getting struck by lightning. Happened in Chicago recently too. Can’t say if they were hot snatches or not.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 8, 2022 11:42 AM |
This gurl is on fiiiiiiiiire!🎶🎶🎶🎶
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 8, 2022 1:18 PM |
Trump may have something beating where a heart ought to be but I hardly call him living. He's the real subject of the "Beware of the Blob!" theme song.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 8, 2022 1:23 PM |
If only he had his own lightning to fight back, this wouldn’t have happened.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 8, 2022 1:26 PM |
I can’t imagine his final moments…stuck under a tree with a couple of Trumpers from flyover country.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 8, 2022 1:29 PM |
Shocking!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 8, 2022 1:30 PM |
It's especially sad when attractive people are killed.
Brooks lived in downtown Los Angeles and was an avid sports fan. Prior to joining City National, he was the manager of partnership marketing for the Los Angeles Clippers. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks and tourism administration and a concentration in sports management.
How in the hell does this kid go from a third-tier school with a BA in "Parks and Recreation," to a manager of partnership marketing for an NBA team, to Vice-President of a bank????
His family was either very well connected, or this is a clear case of some kind of privilege.
My own degree in business (from a better school than Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) didn't get me a job anywhere close to what his did.
I can’t imagine his final moments…stuck under a tree with a couple of Trumpers from flyover country.
How do you know that he wasn't a MAGAT himself? And where does it say he was "stuck under a tree with a couple of Trumpers?"
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 8, 2022 2:13 PM |
What happened? The article is light on details about this lightening strike.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 8, 2022 2:37 PM |
I don’t even know who Lambs Brookerston is!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 8, 2022 2:58 PM |
Snatch?
It's a term that straight men use in a somewhat derogatory way, when talking about a woman's vagina.
I guess gay men are using it now, to refer to a cute guy's ass.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 8, 2022 3:04 PM |
Just tragic and it can happen to any of us. I almost got run over crossing the street while walking my dog the other day. Car sped through and would have hit me if he didn’t swerve the last second. No way I could have avoided it if he didn’t
by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 8, 2022 3:18 PM |
about this lightening strike.
This has nothing to do with the color of his hair!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 8, 2022 4:24 PM |
We’re glad you and the pup are ok, r47.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 8, 2022 4:24 PM |
Per CNN: The victims were riding out the storm under a tree, a law enforcement source said. The thunderstorm hit the DC region around 7 p.m. ET.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 8, 2022 4:31 PM |
I thought Snatch is a DL meme for a cute young man who meets a premature death. Does it have another meaning?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 8, 2022 4:31 PM |
Was the car OK, R47?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 8, 2022 4:32 PM |
The victims were riding out the storm under a tree,
Then they rode the lightning.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 8, 2022 5:27 PM |
Weren’t we taught in elementary school NOT to stand under trees in lightning and thunderstorms?
Maybe it’s just me.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 8, 2022 5:28 PM |
The victims were riding out the storm under a tree
That was quite stupid of them. And they’ve paid the price.
The VP of the bank is quite cute. R.I.P.
Was the car OK, [R47]?
OMG! I lived in DC for 12 years and one day a guy got shot across street from my apartment. Coincidentally my car and two other cars were hit in the gunfire.
A few days later I was in a cab with the annoying screens that start showing video ads and that you have to mute because they start automatically on every trip. A news scroll went by that said "Three cars hit by stray bullets on 14th st." It said how my car, another car, and a car driving through the intersection were all struck. It never even mentioned the GUY WHO GOT SHOT!!
DC, man. 🙄
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 8, 2022 6:42 PM |
That’s because guys get shot every day in DC. Cars, on the other hand is a rarity.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 8, 2022 7:10 PM |
He should have knocked, knocked on wood.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | August 8, 2022 7:36 PM |

R47 it wasn't a blue Mini-Cooper by any chance?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | August 8, 2022 8:19 PM |
If you’re asking about his car, I’m guessing a pink Cadillac for some reason.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 8, 2022 8:21 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 8, 2022 8:32 PM |
WTF his employer actually used his obituary to plug their bank
The Bank (being the greedy pigs that they are) figured that it would squeeze one last nickel out of the life of one of their worker drones.
The obituary/advertisement probably came out of his last check, too.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | August 8, 2022 8:56 PM |
I'm disappointed that they missed the opportunity to title the article "Banker Gets Struck by Lightning...Dies."

So, what? Let me tell you about my great golf club where my first wife is buried. This would be a wonderful opportunity for you to join.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | August 8, 2022 9:19 PM |
That language at the end of the statement where OP linked does seem like it's an "ad" but it's required legal language that has to be posted on any press release they make.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 8, 2022 10:41 PM |
Proud graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo according to his on-line bio.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | August 8, 2022 11:14 PM |
OP, it's DEAD BOY SNATCH.
Get with the program.
Victim was fuckable before the lightning, but clearly hotter after the strike.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | August 9, 2022 6:14 PM |
Brooks Lambertson sounds like an over-the-top WASP name from Dynasty, but this guy just looks like an average Californian with Latino roots.
Have none of you seen "Heathers?" Christ.
It's a cult film from before the fall of the Soviet Union. It shouldn't be that surprising to you that there are people who can't quote its every line.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | August 9, 2022 6:49 PM |
Well fuck me gently with a chainsaw, R74.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | August 9, 2022 6:52 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 84 | August 11, 2022 1:33 AM |
Crazy, R84!
The poor guy's insides must have been fried and cooked.
He should have played the California lottery, the week before.
Same odds as being struck by lightning.
