Giant LED screen crushes a backup dancer at boy band Mirror's concert in Hong Kong

What a creepy video! Surprisingly the poor dancer is still alive (though in critical condition).

Damn. Maybe next time!

May be paralyzed from the neck down for life, according to reports.

absolutely awful.

by Anonymousreply 3July 29, 2022 2:49 PM

That was horrific to watch. Eurgh, that poor dancer!

by Anonymousreply 4July 29, 2022 3:00 PM

omg that was horrifying.

by Anonymousreply 5July 29, 2022 3:00 PM

holy shit I wish I hadn't watched that

by Anonymousreply 6July 29, 2022 3:02 PM

That thing landed right on his head...wow. It's amazing that he is still alive.

by Anonymousreply 7July 29, 2022 3:26 PM

He will never be the same again, that was horrifying.

by Anonymousreply 8July 29, 2022 3:47 PM

Could have been worse

by Anonymousreply 9July 29, 2022 3:56 PM

I doubt it was foul play. Stage rigging is virtually impossible to sabotage.

Not that I would know anything about that.

by Anonymousreply 10July 29, 2022 3:58 PM

Possibly paralyzed from the neck down. Poor guy.

by Anonymousreply 11July 29, 2022 3:59 PM

Well, any news?

[quote] What a creepy video!

But YOU'RE the one posting it! What does that say about you?

by Anonymousreply 13August 13, 2022 4:58 PM

The wire holding the display panel snapped due to metal fatigue.

Why aren't his eyes slanted?

by Anonymousreply 15August 13, 2022 8:20 PM

[quote]Why aren't his eyes slanted?

Why isn't your brain functioning?

by Anonymousreply 17August 13, 2022 10:31 PM

bump

by Anonymousreply 18September 1, 2022 6:24 AM

His head looked like it was crushed by the falling screen. Surprised he's (barely) alive.

by Anonymousreply 19September 1, 2022 6:32 AM

Agree R6...I normally avoid such videos. Regret watching this one. Poor guy!

by Anonymousreply 20September 1, 2022 6:33 AM

Other than THAT, how was the concert?

by Anonymousreply 21September 1, 2022 6:37 AM

Latest reports have the young dancer doing slightly better than expected, but make no mistake, a severely damaged spinal cord at C3-C4 is about as bad as it gets. Only time will tell.

Paralysed from the neck down is a life not worth living. Health complications are never-ending and the mental anguish ..... Chris Reeves.

by Anonymousreply 23September 1, 2022 8:24 AM

Holy Mo Li!

by Anonymousreply 24September 1, 2022 9:08 AM

Any updates? I tried to Google but I couldn't find anything recent.

by Anonymousreply 25September 1, 2022 9:39 AM

That he managed to survive is a real miracle

Many initially thought that he wouldn’t have made it

by Anonymousreply 26September 1, 2022 9:49 AM

Strangest thing I’ve ever seen. Everything.

by Anonymousreply 27September 1, 2022 9:51 AM

Look at the *hardware* damage

Now imagine the damage on/of the human body

R25 - you might want to check R22

by Anonymousreply 30September 1, 2022 10:09 AM

This sort of shoddy workmanship and workplace accidents/disasters are extremely common in CCP-China, but almost unheard of in Hongkong in the past

Goes to show how faaaar HK has deteriorated under CCP-China’s reign

by Anonymousreply 31September 1, 2022 10:18 AM

Horrible. Praying for him. I hope he can recover from this.

by Anonymousreply 32September 1, 2022 12:22 PM

Shit happens but this is ridiculous.

The director of the San Francisco Opera told me a piece of scenery fell forward on a ballerina during rehersal. It injured her ankle (she danced the following week) but it was quite jarring. She could have been killed.

The stage can be dangerous, boys.

by Anonymousreply 33September 1, 2022 8:19 PM

R25 From earlier this week: "A critically injured dancer has seen a big improvement in his condition and is resting better less than a month after being hit by a huge falling video screen during a concert by popular boy band Mirror, his father said."

It is a miracle he wasn't killed instantly.

by Anonymousreply 35September 3, 2022 9:14 PM

God it looked like he might have been decapitated - that was horrific.

Makes you wonder if he’d be better off dead.

by Anonymousreply 36September 3, 2022 9:21 PM

Danger lurks everywhere. Getting your sack caught in a zipper can trigger a full examination of your life.
