I’ve been out of the labor force for three years. We moved to a new state for my husband’s job and I couldn’t find anything in my field the first year (I’m a teacher with a narrow certification area) and I just finished a two year masters degree program.
I learned today of an opening in my field that is semi far away, but still close enough to home to make a long daily commute. I keep seeing/reading all these horror stories about the labor market right now. Horrible crazy bosses, etc. I’m fortunate in that my husband’s salary is enough to support us so I don’t NEED to work, but I get bored and liked what I did before.
All that isn’t to mention the issues in schools. Crazy parents, gun violence, etc. It’s all got me wondering if it worth even trying to get back into education full time or if I should stay at home.
Does anyone have any thoughts? Any horror stories?
