How many threads has OP made predicting this?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 22, 2022 3:19 PM |
This is my first, R1.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 22, 2022 3:19 PM |
I'd bet on Friday:
The Supreme Court has added another opinion day this week. The court will issue opinions on both Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m. EDT. There are 13 cases that still remain to be decided.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 22, 2022 3:21 PM |
They’re milking the tension by leaving this decision for last, like a reality show.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 22, 2022 3:21 PM |
[quote] The next opinion date is Thursday. The court probably won't announce all of the remaining decisions that day, so it is likely that more cases will be decided next week.
From R5.

So is the summer term finished on June 24? Or will it go into next week?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 22, 2022 3:24 PM |
R7, officially finished Thursday, but R3 says the court has added one more opinion day on Friday. But NPR says it might extend to next week.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 22, 2022 3:27 PM |
They will announce it and get the hell out of town. Nobody will be able to find them until October.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 22, 2022 3:31 PM |
Again, Americans will be outraged on social media and will do nothing else.
Typical lazy, spoiled and entitled behavior. Nothing will ever change.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 22, 2022 4:17 PM |
Oh god, the hashtags.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 22, 2022 4:29 PM |
What action(s) would you recommend, r11?
Please don't say "Take to the streets."
And how, exactly, do the terms "spoiled and entitled behavior" fit the acceptance of a Supreme Court ruling?
Hint: They don't, because your post is idiotic.

Tomorrow or Friday
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 23, 2022 4:05 AM |
If it’s overturned I don’t see any big protests happening. Most people just don’t care about anything these days and won’t stand up For themselves.

It will be interesting on how Republican women vote behind the curtain. Will enough decide that this decision went to far and will affect their children, grandchildren, and possibly themselves in a negative manner. I assume that Roe is toast and in a few weeks the south, plains, and inter mountain west will be devoid of abortion options, even as limited as they are now.

If people have a one-time desire to get an abortion, they'll travel to where it is available. If someone expects to have a lot of abortions over time, they will probably move to where it's most convenient.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 23, 2022 4:55 AM |
The truly sad thing is, even if Roe v. Wade IS reversed, all the mistresses/sidepieces/daughters of well off Republicans, regardless of what State they live in, will still just pop into their doctor's office and use their Cadillac healthcare to get a little D&C scraping in time to show up for lunch at the Club. The hypocrisy is breathtaking......
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 23, 2022 4:55 AM |
Why are they dragging this out? Just publish the decision already!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 23, 2022 6:04 AM |
R17, Millions (I among them) in the streets couldn't prevent Bush's Illegal Invasion of Iraq.
Do you seriously, in your damning of "most people," think that such an action could overturn a Supreme Court decision? DO YOU?!
BECAUSE IF SO, YOU ARE BEYOND STUPID, SO STFDASTFU.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 23, 2022 7:04 AM |
R19, You're a male, correct? No woman "expects to have a lot of abortions." You demonstrate that you have NO idea whatsoever of the physical procedure.
But hey---At least you've made another good argument on how "trans-women" simply haven't a clue, beyond stereotypical hair, clothes, and makeup.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 23, 2022 7:09 AM |
It's coming tomorrow, right?

CUNTS!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 23, 2022 6:50 PM |
I suspect what we saw after the leak was about the highest intensity level there's gonna be. Nothing like the tens and hundreds of thousands out in the streets after the 2016 election, pussy hats, etc. Which is lame given that the reversal of Roe and vows by McConnell to pass nation-wide federal abortion bans is at least as grave a threat as Trump winning in 2016. Are people exhausted? Or squeamish about fighting for their rights on this particular issue? It is bizarre--those out on the streets thus far feature a dismaying percentage of crazies and trolls serving as handy talking points for the anti-abortion-rights people.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 23, 2022 7:04 PM |
Taking to the streets seems more like cosplaying than actually accomplishing anything. Voting Republicans out of office everywhere would be far more effective in every way. "Let have a demonstration" is often a substitute for real political action, sadly.

The Karens of this country are gonna rise as one and gonna protest like crazy if the Supremrs overturn R v Wade. Get ready for these crazy white chicks demanding to see the manager all at once
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 23, 2022 7:46 PM |
Will you still have a right to an abortion? Well, the answer is ... coming up after the break.

Go south, young woman! --the ghost of Horace Greeley
You can buy many medications in Mexican pharmacies without a prescription, including the pills that have transformed the way women are ending pregnancies. Today, more than half of all abortions in the United States are achieved by what's called a medication abortion, as opposed to a traditional surgical abortion.

oops, my apologies to transsexuals - a re-do:
Go south, young humans who are pregnant and don't want to be!

"People who Abort"
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 24, 2022 6:48 AM |
We got to this point because the Democrat voters are fat, lazy, and stupid. When the polls said Gore and Hillary would win, they didn't go out to vote. But when the polls said Obama would lose to Romney, they felt compelled to drag their fat asses out to vote. While 60+, near-death Repugs just have to vote no matter what. The Democrats will never flip any red states if they only vote via Facebook, IG, and Twitter.
They are really pathetic.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 24, 2022 6:59 AM |
Didn't Texas make it a crime to travel out of state for the purpose of obtaining an abortion?
Not only that, but it's also a crime to aid or abet such a person, whether you're the father, a friend, an Uber driver...
Margaret Atwood was way ahead of her time.
