Crow attacks frau

I didn't know they attack humans. She is annoying though!

That crow is a DLer. He wants to eliminate the frau and get close to the husband

by Anonymousreply 5June 21, 2022 6:26 AM

Crows are smart and they remember people's faces. If you are mean to them they will keep attacking you. I always left food for one that hung around my house. Eventually, it let me pet it it would sit on my shoulder.

by Anonymousreply 6June 21, 2022 6:43 AM

Do crows and ravens really sense death?

[quote]There's a sign warning men not to walk under this tree.

Does the crow respect pronouns?

by Anonymousreply 8June 21, 2022 6:50 AM

I don't blame the crow. She's obviously getting banged by the husband and wants the wife gone.

by Anonymousreply 9June 21, 2022 6:53 AM

Does this crow know that rampaging elephant?

by Anonymousreply 10June 21, 2022 6:58 AM

Elephant? She's thin, did you even watch the video

by Anonymousreply 11June 21, 2022 7:09 AM

I read about birds in Australia that attack and claw, and victims have had to go to the hospital for treatment. Magpies? Can't remember.

by Anonymousreply 16June 21, 2022 7:25 AM

Birds will swoop at you to warn you away if they have a nest nearby. They’re protecting their eggs from potential predators.

by Anonymousreply 17June 21, 2022 7:28 AM

The best thing about crows is that they not only remember you if you’re nice or nasty, they tell all their friends. Puts The Birds in perspective: “she’s a cunt…get her!”

by Anonymousreply 18June 21, 2022 7:40 AM

Too bad it wasn't an owl!

by Anonymousreply 19June 21, 2022 7:44 AM

R4 - that's hilarious! But is there a wider use for these men-attacking birds? Get Lia Thomas to walk under their tree... if she escapes unscathed, she can swim in the women's team.

by Anonymousreply 20June 21, 2022 7:53 AM

Crows are my faithful servants.

by Anonymousreply 21June 21, 2022 7:56 AM

I knew someone who would periodically get divebombed by a crow when she walked out the front door of the hospital where we worked. She had very thick, dark hair that was naturally bouffant-like, and I was convinced it was just trying to grab some of it to pad its nest.

by Anonymousreply 22June 21, 2022 8:13 AM

Nevermore, Karen.

by Anonymousreply 23June 21, 2022 11:40 AM

I made friends with the crows around my place. They would warn me when a hawk was around. Which is nice being as I have two small dogs. Sadly, the Redtail Hawks started nesting nearby and a pair of eagles have moved into the neighborhood and I haven't seen the crows in awhile. I know the neighbors thought I was nuts out there waving at birds and using a bird call, but I like crows so they can think whatever they want.

by Anonymousreply 30June 21, 2022 3:15 PM

Just yesterday I sat in my window seat and observed a Crow harassing a much larger Turkey Vulture high in the air. It went on for five minutes before the Crow left it alone. It cawed the entire time.

Crows are cunts!

I was at my brothers for a pool party. This crow flew in and landed very close to the group. My brother was worried about the kids so he sprayed water on it to get him to move away. The crow kept moving closer and when someone was moving about they saw the body of a baby crow who had fallen from a nest (I guess). Finally the crow found the body. Stayed a short time and left. They are pretty large birds.

by Anonymousreply 34June 21, 2022 3:27 PM

There's a sign in the park near my house: "Warning: Aggressive Birds Ahead."

It's for red-winged blackbirds that will swoop at your head when they're nesting.

by Anonymousreply 35June 21, 2022 3:28 PM

I was attacked by birds who had a nest nearby, it hurt. I moved on and don't walk near the area anymore

by Anonymousreply 36June 21, 2022 3:45 PM

Was she menstruating?

by Anonymousreply 37June 21, 2022 3:47 PM

I spent a few summers living in luxury between Le Cannet, above Cannes, and a yacht out of Antibes. I made a crow friend in Le Cannet. He (or she) would follow me sometimes on long bike rides I took down to the sea and along the coastline there. He must have ID'd the marina at one point. Sometimes my hosts would sail from Antibes along the costs and the crow found me on our second excursion and from then on would visit me but never too far. He came to me off Nice but didn't venture to Monte Carlo or Saint-Tropez. I named him Tayir and fed him roasted lamb and nuts.

by Anonymousreply 38June 21, 2022 4:02 PM

R15, that cat really did not like that woman.

by Anonymousreply 39June 21, 2022 4:42 PM

When birds attack people in the spring it's almost always because they have a nest full of chicks somewhere nearby they're protecting.

by Anonymousreply 40June 21, 2022 4:48 PM

There's also the "Terror Owl" of Purmerend, Netherlands, which used to attack people with its talons and injure them.

by Anonymousreply 42June 21, 2022 5:24 PM

R42 those are flightless birds but they can disembowel you. R16 you are thinking of Plovers, they have a hook on their claw that they use and go for your eyes. Magpies also swoop but have no hook.

Just watched this again and noticed the guy's side profile bulge. I don't blame this crow one bit. he/she wants a piece of that and so do I. Guy is packing.

by Anonymousreply 48June 21, 2022 8:36 PM

That crow is laughing his ass off at the end. Now, he's hopped over to the other rail to have one of that guy's beers. Smart, indeed.

Side bulge? What time stamp. I see nothing, Gramps.

by Anonymousreply 50June 21, 2022 9:42 PM

Dont ever pet bird or get close to them, or have tree branches touching your house. . Once you and your house get bird mites, which is very easy, you will truly want to commit suicide.

They are that distressing.

I hate the fuckers. I hate the damage they do to other birds' populations (eating the eggs and young) but I particularly hate their call. Here, in my very tree-y suburban neighborhood, they start with the fucking CAH CAH CAH before 5am and keep going until after 9pm. And they don't take a break. The idiots here started feeding them - nextdoor.com was full of, "Oh, the crows are my friends! They're so smart! Here's my recipe for crow treats, they love them!" - during the Covid lockdown and now we're stuck with them.

I am seriously going to start poisoning them. The crows, not the neighbors.

by Anonymousreply 78June 30, 2022 11:53 PM

A friend used to live in a very small, very rural village. A neighbor of his was a lonely, elderly woman who fed the crows. The crows were her company and her friends.

Whenever she was outside of her cabin, the crows would flock to her and circle over her head watching for any sign of food, so as she was walking around she had a vortex of crows or a sort of an avian cyclone overhead. And she looked a lot like Grandmama from the Addams Family TV series. It was ... unsettling.

by Anonymousreply 79July 1, 2022 12:15 AM

[quote]Was the frau singing "Risseldy, rosseldy, mow, mow, mow" when the crow attacked?

We hate that fucking song.

by Anonymousreply 80July 1, 2022 2:11 AM

Crows can be really nasty when nesting. When I lived in Victoria the crows downtown were notorious in the spring, would attack anyone. I saw one get its talons tangled in this poor woman's hair and yank on it, she kept her cool better than I would have. I had one bounce its feet off the top of my head once though. They like to dive bomb you from behind, swoop down and then screech just behind your head, and usually don't make contact unless they're *really* pissed off. And yes they absolutely remember faces and will go after people who have shown them any aggression well into the future, every time they see them.

by Anonymousreply 81July 1, 2022 2:18 AM

A bison just attacked a frau today.
