Oh wow. I remember when his children and their grandfather were killed. How sad. What an unbearable situation for his wife.
Ontario father whose 3 children were killed by drunk driver in 2015 dies by suicide

God, so sad.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 21, 2022 12:30 AM |
One of the little boys who was killed loved ballet. They set up a scholarship in his honor.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 21, 2022 12:31 AM |
Sometimes we just aren’t meant to be here anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 21, 2022 12:42 AM |
That poor man. His poor wife.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 21, 2022 12:42 AM |
The drunk driver in this case comes from a rich family. The Muzzos are worth billions.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 21, 2022 12:46 AM |
And the murderer was let out on parole last year
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 21, 2022 12:49 AM |
God, that poor woman.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 21, 2022 12:50 AM |
God. Usually not such a big old MARY! but this post from just a few days ago....
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 21, 2022 12:59 AM |
Time for DL fat, old, drunk whores to stop drinking then.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 21, 2022 1:01 AM |
I remember the outrage here in Ontario about this case.
This is so horrible.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 21, 2022 1:46 AM |
r5 He was able to buy his way out of previous convictions, i.e. pay hefty fines that would be a deterrent for others. However, our criminal driving laws are a complete fucking joke.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 21, 2022 2:17 AM |
He's a piece of crap, R13. I hope he wraps his car around a telephone post.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 21, 2022 4:54 AM |
He got off lightly . What a travesty of Justice
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 21, 2022 5:45 AM |
Too much to bare. The poor soul. Day after Father’s Day.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 21, 2022 5:56 AM |
With any luck Muzzo will be the next to commit suicide. I would if I were him.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 21, 2022 7:28 AM |
R17, he is without conscience
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 21, 2022 1:58 PM |
What a downer on a Monday morning
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 21, 2022 2:00 PM |
How much can the poor mother take? Her three children, her father, and now her husband. All because of a spoiled rich kid who decided to drive drunk.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 21, 2022 2:08 PM |
If he was going to kill himself anyway, why not go after the guy who killed his children?
Although I guess that would require logical thinking.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 21, 2022 2:10 PM |
Muzzo was 3 times the legal limit drunk
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 21, 2022 2:26 PM |
Because the he wasn't a murderer, R21.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 21, 2022 2:28 PM |
Is Muzzo married? I remember his fiancée supporting him through his trial.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 21, 2022 2:38 PM |
Muzzo has dead eyes
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 21, 2022 2:39 PM |
R23 eh, if he could do himself, he could do someone else.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 21, 2022 2:41 PM |
I feel the most sympathy for his wife. She loses her 3 children and now he makes her go through another massive loss. Sad he died, but he was gutless.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 21, 2022 2:46 PM |
A little more to this story came out this evening. Apparently a few hours before he died police were called to their home. They had to tase him. Took him to the hospital to be checked out after the tasing and then released him. He killed himself a few hours later.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 23, 2022 3:39 AM |
Weak man!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 23, 2022 3:50 AM |
Very sad story. No justice at all.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 23, 2022 4:00 AM |
R28, I think the magnitude of his loss and the fact killer is out free caused a psychotic break
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 23, 2022 4:06 AM |
Canada’s legal system is very, very lenient. Canada is the only country where a convicted serial killer, Karla Homlka, who murdered her own sister, is currently living free.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 23, 2022 4:09 AM |
Canada is a fucking cesspit.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 23, 2022 4:19 AM |
There is no God.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 23, 2022 4:26 AM |
R32 that was a one off huge miscarriage of justice. They had no evidence in him until she turned. Then later they were able to get the video tapes that would have convicted him.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 23, 2022 4:39 AM |
Says the Australian r33
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 23, 2022 4:43 AM |
Canada does have a freaking weird justice system. Not only Karla Homlka, but I think the man who beheaded his fellow passenger on a greyhound bus was also let go or early release.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 23, 2022 4:46 AM |
The mom needs a go fund me! Did she win any money? The poor creature
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 23, 2022 4:49 AM |
R37. That was the insanity verdict as the guy was schizophrenic.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 23, 2022 4:49 AM |
I was wondering that too r39. Muzzo’s family are billionaires but I’m not sure if you’re allowed to sue for monetary damages like in the usa. There would have been significant insurance money but who knows how it is being managed.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 23, 2022 4:52 AM |
RIP X
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 23, 2022 4:52 AM |
Thoughts and prayers
And the people who now say/post: thoughts and prayers are not enough anymore! But still don’t do anything about whatever it is.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 23, 2022 4:57 AM |
Oops wrong thread sorry!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 23, 2022 4:57 AM |
I don't care how wealthy a family is, why would you willingly be around those people? Does that scumbag have any friends? Why would you want to even be around someone like that if you weren't being paid?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 23, 2022 5:35 AM |
They have connections and throw great parties.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 23, 2022 6:00 AM |
Wow, kill 4 people, get a sentence of 12 years, and serve less than half of it before getting out on parole! As shitty as the murderer is, the Canadian “justice” system sounds like a nightmare for victims.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 23, 2022 6:42 AM |
r21 - the scion of a billionaire family is going to have a security detail.
[Quote]Officers notified Victim Services of the incident, and Mr. Lake was also provided the contact information,” read the statement from police. “Peel Regional Police had no further interaction with Mr. Lake once he was transported to the Hospital.”
[Quote]Police added that they have previously been called to the home but did not provide any further details, citing “privacy reasons.”
[Quote]We are aware of and saddened by Mr. Lake’s tragic death, as well as the tragic circumstances that this family has faced,” said police.
In other words, they're aware that there was a problem somewhere in the process of transport to the hospital from handing him off to paramedics and paramedics admitting him. It sounds like information that would have resulted in a mental health evaluation wasn't relayed. Or at least it looks like he didn't get an evaluation.

If anyone knows of a Go Fund Me page or some way to directly help his wife, please post. I can't imagine her pain and grief. Thoughts and prayers are not enough but it's all I can offer until I learn an alternative.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 23, 2022 8:49 AM |
Unbelievable! 4 members of one family were killed by the heir to billions, and one of the only survivors might have to rely on GoFundMe?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 23, 2022 9:11 AM |
His suffering is over. He's with his kids and happy, now.
You don't have to believe it.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 23, 2022 9:17 AM |
R51 And what of his surviving spouse and mother of his dead children?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 23, 2022 1:47 PM |
The Karla Homlka situation is different and would have happened in the USA as well. Her attorneys negotiated a deal where she received immunity for testifying against Paul Bernardo. She then produced a video showing her actually participating in the murder and there was nothing the prosecution could do. She had immunity.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | June 23, 2022 1:55 PM |
Heartbreaking
by Anonymous | reply 54 | June 23, 2022 1:58 PM |
That woman who hit Broadway star Ruthie Ann Miles, killed her daughter and another child got out of jail, so what are you guys talking about when you say that Canada has lax laws for traffic violations causing death? Canada's laws need to be tougher, but so do American ones. The woman in that instance had the decency to kill herself at least, unlike Muzzo.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | June 23, 2022 2:15 PM |
R55 - you fail to mention that the woman was out on bail and had not yet gone to trial. There was no verdict or sentencing, so you really can't say if their treatment by the justice system was comparable. Their cases weren't very comparable either. The billionaire scion was drunk at three times the legal limit. This woman had a seizure.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 23, 2022 2:26 PM |
And was driving without a license, R56, which she had done previously.
