Anyone know how to look/read Twitter without signing up?

If you just scroll to where you see 'more replies' or 'see more' or whatever it says and not beyond that and then click on that, it will load more replies. That block seems to pop up when you go beyond the 'see replies' line at the bottom of the particular Twitter thread.

I am not OP here but R2, when I click on more replies I get the Log On or Sign Up pop up.

You click on one of the first responses then click back to the original post. It always works for me

I set up a crap email for spam etc. I used that to sign up for twitter. It's an email I use for anything that seems like it will clog my email box with crap. I use a made up email handle.

R4 below is a link that sends me to log on or sign up when I click on more replies, I had to make it a tinyurl because it was too long. It is a link from the primary election thread that The Poll Troll linked to from Dave Wasserman. I have tried you method with many of Dave Wasserman's tweets, it worked on one of them, one of his tweets let me read all the way to the bottom of the thread without having to click on more replies and about 7 of them it didn't work at all. The majority of the time, I can only see the first few tweets, it didn't use to be that way until a few months ago when apparently twitter changed something.

I don't use twitter enough or care to sign up for it, the only time I use it is when someone here links to it.

It typically won't do the pop-ups if you can browse it in an incognito window.

R7, in that thread, I scroll down and as soon as I go past the "show more replies" bar after This Cheb Guy's response, the block pops up. But, after I reload the page, if I go slowly so that the 'show more replies' wording just barely shows up at the bottom of the page and click on it, more replies show up. Slowly scroll through those until you hit the next 'show more replies' and do the same. If you scroll even like a quarter inch past those words, the block pops up again.

It's really annoying and seems like it's something wrong with Twitter.

Try using a "private browsing tab". It works for me.

I hope Elon takes care of the sign up blocking when he takes over. It's annoying as fuck.

Weird… I just click on the X in the corner, which closes the pop up. I can then scroll further.

Thanks R9 that seems to be working on that Tweet hopefully it will work on all of them.

Off-topic, but Twitter now asks me to add my birtdate to my profile in order to be able to see "age-restricted" content. Ugh.

I do what R12 describes.

Oh, and it seems the "dirty" stuff isn't shown in my feed anymore. No previews, just links, and when I click on them, I get that "something went wrong" message.

Whoever came up with this "brilliant" idea - fuck you. Since I'm only on twitter for the porn, I might as well delete my account now.
