Life is very simple when you’re a quokka.

They look like they're part rat and part kangaroo.
Ratgaroo?
Kangarat?

That's a giant fucking rat. Not cute.

R5 quokkas are marsupials. Rats aren't

Quokkas always look like they're smiling. Their eyes look like they're smiling. Their little chubby cheeks look like they're smiling. But deep down, they're wishing you were a big juicy carrot.

I've always hated selfies, R2. The other angle of your picture is MUCH better!

Mess with these doll-faces and you could do 5 years in prison.

They're adorable. I'll take a dozen! đŸ˜€

Rottnest Island is the home of the quokka. It's a short ferry ride from Perth, Western Australia.

I confess I have never heard of this animal, and this vid is so adorable I looked the critters up:
If the mother is being pursued by a predator she will relax the muscles in her pouch so the baby falls out and mom lives another day. I have no problem with that.

I thought most marsupials did that. Kangaroos do.

Even the people who named the island, knew that these things were rats!
