I haven't kept up with the regular shows in years, but I enjoyed the first Girls Trip and this cast looks even more entertaining.

I think Bluestone Manor is beautiful (the decor isn't my style but I love the layout of the house and grounds) but I wish they filmed somewhere else. This just gives Dorinda an advantage over everyone and makes them obligated to her as a guest. I hope the other women can help her realize that it's not a pause, she was fired for her bad behavior and overall shittiness.

As someone noted on the show, the first season cast went to Turks & Caicos I'm sure the production company paid Dorinda a considerable amount of money to use the house as the location.

Season one sucked. This cast is a major improvement.

I'm beginning to agree with the poster above who said that Dorinda is headed toward a "Grey Gardens" future, where she'll live out her days with her booze in Bluestone Manor (which really should be abbreviated "BM"), having drunken meltdowns and paranoid rage fests - as she makes life miserable for her only remaining contact with the outside world - her damaged daughter Hannah...

I didn’t watch NY while Dorinda was on, so I only know her from Girls Trip. Does she seem to have friends or family outside of the cast? Did she drink before her husband died?

From RHONY I always got the impression that Dorinda went into a spiral after Richard died , which her now ex-bf Jon used to his advantage. Jon likes to drink and do coke and i think that’s when the drinking started. Then it kicked into high gear when she joined the show.

RHONY was like Absolutely Fabulous during Dorinda’s tenure, it was nothing but old ladies getting wasted and falling down drunk. LuAnn was her drinking buddy and their relationship deteriorated when LuAnn was briefly sober.

Dorinda goes on and on about healthy lifestyle choices on her Radio Andy show, I just side eye my phone. The gossip about her drunkenness at the Red Lion in Stockbridge is LEGENDARY. I love Dorinda so I hope she gets herself pulled together.

Leah had years of sobriety before she started housewives, then decided to start drinking again. It would be almost impossible for someone to stay sober while on this show. The producers don’t give a fuck, as long as they have a storyline.

R134, I like Phaedra much better on this show than on Atlanta. I always felt she was so rehearsed and fake on that show. That read you posted always came off rehearsed to me and it's also hypocritical. Apolla is a convict and he's the father of her two children.

I was hoping Dorinda would have dealt with her demons and shown herself to be the person she was on seasons 7 and 8 of RHONY. If anything she’s gotten worse. She’s making the viewer feel bad for assholes like Tamra, Brandy and Vicki.

Brandi is like a human gasoline fire when she drinks and I don’t think she’ll ever be able get out her own way and figure out how to toe-the-line, but she’s very perceptive and when she’s not lobbing Molotov cocktails because she’s been “over-served” or because the producers have told her she needs to in order to get her next cheque, a genuinely warm and self-effacing person.

Vicki is a shrill drama queen and control freak, but she has learned how to pick her battles and with enough stroking relaxes into being a straightforward good time gal.

Dorinda despite her years as a fan favorite is like a combo of both of their worst qualities with none of their (occasional) redeeming aspects.

I was hoping in her last RHONY season that Tinsley would just fucking deck Dorinda at that vineyard. Now I’m hoping to see literally the entire Girls Trip cast take a swing at her. IIRC Dorinda organized the reunion revolt against Bethenny Frankel at the end of Season 10 of RHONY.

Bethenny had been annoying her costars with her overbearing manner throughout the season.

But cracks started to develop in Bethenny and Carole Radziwill's relationship - and Dorinda used that to unite the entire cast against Bethenny at the reunion show. It seemed as if Dorinda organized it all.

Dorinda got Carole worked up to be the lead attack dog - as they entered the reunion, the mic picked up Dorinda saying to Carole, "You better not let us down and you better not back down."

Carole went after Bethenny full throttle - and the issues between them are theirs - we'll never know the full story about that.

But during the course of the show, Dorinda admitted that her main beef with Bethenny was when Bethenny had called Dorinda out for her drunken tirade at a dinner during a trip for Bethenny's charity to benefit the survivors of the Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

Dorinda got sloppy drunk at a dinner the night before they left. In typical Dorinda fashion - she angrily blew some small comment made by one of the men on the benefit trip; she raged at him drunkenly; and then she stomped away from the table and passed out in her room.

The next day Dorinda, probably coached by Bethenny attempted to apologize to the man, but she made her apology to the WRONG man, because she had been so black-out drunk.

Bethenny talked to Dorinda about the whole incident, including her drinking on the flight to Puerto Rico. And Bethenny, in her overbearing manner, said something like, "You're drinking is the problem" or "You're drinking caused this problem", (it was never entirely clear from the audio on the plane).

That comment had enraged Dorinda and led to the whole planned attack at the reunion show. At one point in the show after all the woman had aired their grievances against Bethenny (who was not blameless), Andy asked Bethenny if she would've done any of it differently.

Among the things Bethenny said was that if she should have been more sensitive when she talked to Dorinda - and not said what she said to her.

Dorinda's anger against Bethenny completely evaporated at that point - Dorinda saw her opportunity to reunite with the strongest member of the cast - and Dorinda had a warm "all is forgiven" moment with Bethenny.

She's usually able to pull herself together and pretend when she's in the city or at some other location - but the alcohol is wildcard - she's gone off in other locations too.

Phaedra's confessionals are priceless, but she and Eva are treading lightly around Dorinda so far.

She also did a great job of making herself look open and forthcoming about herself on that walk with Phaedra, who seemed completely freaked about having to answer standard personal questions.

Also, I know she’s an abysmal human being, but shrill, humourless Vicki Gunvalson is somehow against all odds a deeply (unintentionally) hilarious and very watchable TV character for me.

Leah's first season was incredible. The second season was so terrible that it overshadowed everything else.

I've been saying this for a while now. Vicki is reality tv gold, and OC is stale without her.

I think they should do more of these UGT shows - this one has been much better than most regular seasons of RH - where the drama so often seems manufactured, petty, and repetitive.

r309, Leah released a memoir of some sort and from the little I heard of it she talked about being sober a lot in that so I doubt that she's going to be drinking again anytime soon. I heard her in an interview say that her ex and her parents and multiple other close people in her life were aghast that she relapsed (her words) and implied that the ex had gestured towards custody discussions if she kept drinking. Sobriety is good for her, bad for us.

I’ve never watched Miami, so have no clue about those women. I am pretty indifferent to most of these others, other than Gizelle. She should have been on a trip with other A-Listers. I guess there aren’t many left? They should have in subbed Sonja or Camille or someone.

R315, I did. And that reminded me of the story Ronnie told at the first reunion, the one where her daughter was choking to death. I always felt that the implication was that Ronnie was drunk during the ordeal which is why her relapsing is so disturbing

Leah’s face changed from her first season to second. She looked like a different person. Better before the surgery.

Her converting to Judaism storyline was zzzzzzz. She and Eboni truly killed that franchise. No fun - just a drag to watch. Who wants that from a housewives show?

However bad Leah was, her sister was 10x worse.

Leah’s story about getting rejected by Michael Che rubbed me the wrong way. This basic bitch was soooo confused about a basic looking black man not wanting to date her. She just wouldn’t stop hitting him up. So desperate, pathetic, and borderline racist. At some point, she asked him if he didn’t fuck with white girls because she was so full of herself.

Vicki looks like she's had work done since leaving OC. It's good work, though. Her skin is as smooth as chrome.

I really dislike Leah. Marysol and Alexia have a really strong alliance vs Giselle and Candiace (eww), Ashley & Heather are dishwater boring.

I think Leah mentioned she had a nose job in between her 2 seasons.

Alexia is a telenovela heroine brought to real life. On the latest season of Miami, nearly all of her scenes featured a tight shot of her face as she dissolved into tears and was then embraced by a friend or family member. She has some real shit going on in her life but I still had to laugh. I’m low key obsessed with her.

Tamra and Vicki were on WWHL Tues night. Last night Tamra came back solo to announce she’ll be back on RHOC full time next season. I’m guessing that wasn’t announced on Tuesday because it would have pissed Vicki off.

Tamra returning to RHOC was rumored / known for a long time. It makes sense. She's a bitch, but she was a good HW. She did whatever was asked of her. Not sure why they dropped her in the first place. Salary was too high, I'm guessing.

Tamra’s last few seasons were sort of boring after she found Jesus and rejected her father, Lucifer.

Actually RHOC just seemed to deflate after Kelly Dodd arrived and Heather left, and it hasn’t been the same since.

You could parachute her in for a week of filming and talking heads in any of the other franchises and she’d absolutely be fantastic.

Phaedra unfortunately can’t come back to Atlanta because Kandi has made it clear she will leave if Phaedra returns. She would do well on Potomac-except for the fact that she was one of Jamal Bryant’s ex girlfriends (Jamal is the infamous “Mr Chocolate “), so I don’t know if Gizelle would work with her.

Wait…did Phaedra date Jamal while he was married to Gisele? What a small fucking world. Getting those two in the same room would make for excellent reality tv. I really dislike Leah. R353, I agree that Giselle needs someone new to fight with. I absolutely love Robin, but she really doesn’t add anything (besides hot Juan). Even hot Juan is going to be boring now that Ashley is divorced (we won’t get to see Ashley’s husband hitting on Juan). They need to bring back Monique or someone a little more messy.

Phaedra is heavily rumored to be joining Dubai because it's a boring flop. Those ladies better take a pay cut to get that winner on their team. Taylor will be friend of on OC, not main cast. It's a good fit for her, as she was friend of on UGT, really--not a lot of heft there, but still pleasant enough to have around.

Adding, I am shocked that it seems very likely that Vicki isn't coming back to OC in any capacity. She had a very good--not legendary, but very good--showing on UGT and with OC in dire straits it seems almost churlish not to give her another shot along with Tamra.

Maybe Vicki is refusing to get vaccinated.
