He's taken quite a few gay roles, so I'm assuming he is gay in real life.

He is openly gay, r14, which is nice given that he's not that well known and it took him quite a while to really make it (unless he's much better known in his native Australia).

I always find it charming when someone who is extremely hot is so awkward and nervous.

I checked out the Farscape pilot last week -- don't ask why -- and couldn't believe I saw him in it. Dear lord, he was beautiful, dripping with sex appeal. But also super reliant on tongue acting as his signature trick. He dialed that down substantially in subsequent projects.

He is hot. I hated him as Mouse, though…in the TOTC limited series. Mouse was such a weakling. I guess Murray is really a good actor then.

He seems a nice person and I'm happy for him to be enjoying a wave of success and attention. But the Data Lounge swooning and praise if his acting I do not get. As an actor he's somewhere between adequate and just slightly better than adequate. There's a uniform nervous twitchiness in how he plays all his roles (that I've seen) that I dislike.

How many roles on TV are about gay people? That is all the roles he plays.

Yes, he plays exclusively gay roles, but none of them have been stereotypes. Characters like Dom on Looking and Armond on White Lotus were very well-rounded and layered characters. Not every gay actor has the capability of bringing depth to a gay role. That’s a talent.

I had to look for a clip for his Guiding Light role, I had pretty much lost interest in the show by then. I think he is adorable, and the very best thing about the first season of The White Lotus.
