BREAKING: Louie Anderson in Hospital with Blood Cancer

Oh, no. I've always found him to be hilarious, but in a brief appearance on Search Party a few years ago, you could tell he was in poor health.

That's not good. Once it's in your blood, it's all through your body, or will be. I am guessing a blood transfusion wont even work at that point.

I always thought he was the poor man's John Candy.

I hope they shot some new Baskets episodes with Louie’s Christine.

It will be poignant watching the two brothers deal with her death.

I loved Baskets and Louie Anderson and Christine UNTIL she became the center of the show r2. Gave it up after of a few of those episodes.

I always liked him, seemed like a nice guy under that exterior.

No. Oh no nononono. Louie as Christine Baskets is brilliant. I don’t know how you can bring that character to life if you don’t have warmth and love in you.

This is terrible news. I fell in love with Louie as Christine and wish him the best.

His cartoon was great too. Is that streaming anywhere?

2022 seems to be on a celebrity rampage.

While we hear about celebrities, I think 2022 is going to be particularly brutal for heart disease, cancer, and other potentially fatal ailments that require early detection. COVID patients forced doctors/hospitals to cancel, postpone, and discourage non-emergency medical procedures. Now people who would've been helped during regularly scheduled checkups/procedures in 2020 and 2021 are dealing with the consequences.

Isn’t blood cancer leukemia? Oddly I think it’s not one of the most deadly cancers - like pancreatic or liver.

R20 Leukemia is blood cancer, but not all blood cancers are leukemia. There is also lymphoma and myeloma.

65% 5 year survival - so far from a death sentence if not good news.

R3 Not true. Some types of lymphoma are very responsive to treatment and have a high cure rate. Others not so much, unortunately.

It depends on the current stage. If it's stage 4 he probably has weeks instead of months.
