Is he dead yet?

by Anonymousreply 1January 19, 2022 1:45 AM

What a colossal idiot. Lucky that he made it. What could have been done in a situation like this though?

by Anonymousreply 2January 19, 2022 1:58 AM

He probably ended up with significant three degree burns.

by Anonymousreply 3January 19, 2022 2:00 AM

That's what you get for smoking in an elevator.

by Anonymousreply 4January 19, 2022 2:10 AM

And Putin is invading Ukraine.

by Anonymousreply 5January 19, 2022 2:31 AM

R2, maybe the air striking him as he fell down the elevator shaft would have put him out.

It's the one thing he didn't try.

[quote]significant three degree burns

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 7January 19, 2022 2:45 AM

I can’t imagine how much pain he is going to wake up to.

It looked to me like he deliberately lit the vodka on fire with his lighter (@ the 20 second mark). No idea what he was thinking. Probably intentionally staged for the video, a la 'Jackass,' and it turned out to be more than he could handle.

Explained.

Why did he give up and just kneel in the fire at the end and let it consume him? Did that not hurt?

by Anonymousreply 11January 19, 2022 6:11 AM

He looked as though he were convulsing. You can see the upper portions of the coat had begun to melt and they weren't in contact with the flame. I think heat, panic + smoke inhalation/oxygen deprivation made him collapse.

by Anonymousreply 12January 19, 2022 7:18 AM

R11, He passed out due to oxygen deprivation. In order to burn, fires need to consume oxygen. In that small space, it wouldn’t take long for the oxygen to drop to life threatening levels. He’s soooo lucky he passed out where he did, preventing the elevator doors from closing and allowing him to regain consciousness due to appropriate oxygen levels outside the elevator. Otherwise, he’d be a goner, for sure.
