Exactly, R5. However, we're past the point at which Covid can be stopped or eradicated. About a third of the population has decided that because [italic]they[/italic] don't want to do the most minimal things possible to prevent the spread of a highly communicable virus, we should all pay for their folly. The thing of it is the virus isn't stupid. It just does what a virus does, which is adapt to its surroundings, and it will be successful. Wouldn't it be nice if humans could look at this basic biological fact and say "If we don't adapt, we won't survive"?

But no, it is more important for MAGAts to [italic]feel[/italic] superior to everyone else. And they've picked one of the worst ways possible to express their supposed supremacy, and the only consolation is that, according to the statistics coming out of hospitals' ICUs, the unvaccinated are 20 times more likely to die from their stupidity than those who have made the wise choice to get vaccinated. It's still a tragedy that 5% of the dead did what they were supposed to and paid the highest price imaginable thanks to the luddites.

The MAGAts have won. Covid is here to stay. If their — and OP's — lives are inconvenienced by sick people staying home from work — so there's no one to fill their prescription for Viagra and Oxy, no one to fill their bags with fatty fried food, no one to babysit their crotchfruit — then that's just a price they'll have to pay like the rest of us.
