Ending long phone conversations

How do you usually do it if a friend is talking too much and you want to go?

by Anonymousreply 6January 15, 2022 12:57 PM

let me let you go

A lengthy hiss tells them I'm done talking to them.

I make only work calls. They take as long as they need to. I'm old school and need the conversation as texting and emails won't do sometimes, while face to face are impossible or undesirable.

I have to get off the phone now. See you later. Bye.

“I should let you go” works perfectly.

R3 my work calls are often more chatty than my personal calls, because I have a lot of coworkers who ramble on endlessly.

Gurl, bye!
