I had the booster today and now I'm freaking out

Just one booster so far OP - don’t worry.

by Anonymousreply 1January 13, 2022 3:15 AM

We get a flu shot every year and it doesn't affect immune response. Maybe we move to a once a year booster instead of every 4 months.

by Anonymousreply 2January 13, 2022 3:17 AM

Dear Covidiot/Qcumber OP, you should be worried. But not for the reasons you mentioned.

by Anonymousreply 3January 13, 2022 3:19 AM

R2 The influenza (flu) virus is not a Corona virus like COVID. Historically there has never been a long term effective vaccine for a Corona Virus.

Calm the fuck down, you silly drama queen.

I wish these kind of articles would relay the problem of booster whores... because like those hoarding tests, there are many that shop to get more boosters. Of course, they're not apt to admit it either... so, it ends up poisoning research. But overall, as of now, risk from recommendated usage remains low. It's not like we're using tampons here.

Oh, OP....

Each and every booster is safe and effective.

by Anonymousreply 8January 13, 2022 3:38 AM

I'm fully vaxxed and boostered, but I do believe that the returns from each additional shot diminish, and I absolutely wouldn't be surprised if excessive boostering led to all sorts of nasty immune reactions.

Also, at this point I'm resigned to the fact that we will all become infected at some point, probably within the next year, and all we can do is be careful and maintain our baseline health as best we can to fight off the virus when we do get.

Everyone who can get vaccinated should do so, but let's not kid ourselves that we're going to rid the world of Covid that way.

[quote]Repeat booster doses every four months

geez, did the OP even read the first paragraph?

by Anonymousreply 10January 13, 2022 2:24 PM

Vaccinated. Not boostered. Yet.

by Anonymousreply 11January 13, 2022 2:47 PM

you should. me and a friend both got covid at the same time. I had for a week something like a cold, congestion and scratchy throat. My younger friend who isn't boosted, had really bad fever for three days, then the cold symptoms I had.

get vaxxed. get boosted.

by Anonymousreply 12January 13, 2022 5:45 PM

That reminds this booster whore that he is ready for his FOURTH booster, thanks OP.
