I loved this film.

Only DL posters with impeccable taste will go and watch this incredible film, which has some of the best actors of our generation. What a monumental success it’s been!

I liked it. The length was needed to make the introduction of the main characters and give us an actual story. To me, it was quite enjoyable. And this one features an actual gay character who has a husband and a son.

I watched it last night. The visuals and special effects are lovely, but that’s it. The lead is wooden and acts like she’s sleepwalking. I think it would have been better without Salma and Angelina, their famous presence among lesser known actors in the ensemble is jarring. Overall, an okay movie to watch at home.

There are plenty of things in movies people "don't" want to see, but they still enjoy the movie, because there are more things they do like than they don't like. Pros vs. cons. A gay themed making out scene isn't so offensive when there are plenty of straight themed making out scenes, for example.

The plot was stupid and enough with the big guys behind the curtain routine. Loki sucked for the same reason. If you are going to invest big CGI cash onto a movie, give it a reason to exist in the first place.

The cast was fine, directing fine but the Firpo Bros should be nowhere near this property ever again. The recent comic run (not related to movies) is MUCH better storyline wise and if Marvel wants to continue with a sequel, get those guys on board to write it.

Dane Whitman had no business in this movie. You could cut him and the plot is not affected. I think he was shoehorned in because they wanted to introduce the Black Knight. He could have had a meaningful introduction in another Marvel property.

Someone please tell Barry Keoghan not to speak with marbles in his mouth and allow him to play Druig the way he’s always been portrayed.

Give Sersi some of her fun loving personality in the comics, they don’t have to completely reboot the character but let Gemma Chan have fun in the role.

Bring back Ikaris, Ajax, and Gilgamesh and follow some of their comic stories.

Mekkari vs. Ikaris was the best scene in the movie. Angelina seemed Half asleep. And whoever designed the Eternal’s spaceship needs some antidepressants.

Eternals was always a rather boring comic book. Hard to get an exciting movie when the source material is so bland. Dazzling special effects only go so far if the story is not there.

I'm a huge MCU fan. I was buying Marvel Comics as an 8 yo and read them for several years, probably until high school. Even their worst movie since Iron Man with RDJ wasn't terrible.

Eternals is in my bottom 3. I thought it was very dark (lighting wise) and slow. It looked more like one of those awful Justice League movies rather than Marvel. The posing, the music, the slow motion..ugh. Yeah, it was the director. The story was fine as were the actors. But I didn't care for it.

I thought it did a decent job introducing all of these characters who were unknown to the viewers until then.

All marvel movies are garbage. I doubt this one can be worse.

Four screenwriters is not a good sign. Especially when most of them are inexperienced.

This property would been much better served as a TV show. Not only because of the big cast of characters and all the backstory, but because it didn't fit the typical Marvel movie formula. The Deviants were just there so there could be a fight scene every 15 minutes. A less frenetic approach, with a more philosophical bent, could have been a lot more interesting.

This is an introduction film. Idk what r74 was expecting. He wants the big stories right away. This was literally setting them up. And I liked it. I don’t believe most DLers would watch this and hate it more than other Marvel films because it is done is a more slow, artsy way and isn’t a bunch of big fights and battles and explosions like other Marvel films. This had a more mature tone and I loved it.

This a much larger group than the GOTG and they wanted to make it feel different than that one.

Angelina Jolie was lovely in some scenes. She wanted the role to be a cameo only but they made her do more scenes.

It was terribly written. They’d say things like “I always wondered how the celestials could do…” whatever, but they only learned about the existence of the celestials like 3 days ago!! It was an all over the place mess.

And the “uni-mind”?! That was just dumb.

The uni-mind is right outta the comics. I do like seeing these movies embrace how wacky the comics can get, instead of straining to seem realistic and serious.

It was terrible. Easily the worst Marvel film. You could have cut the cast in half and not lost much. Kumail's character was useless.

The only thing I liked was seeing Arishem at the end next to Earth and hoping Marvel brings Galactus to the screen soon.

Watched it yesterday. Overall, I liked it, despite some issues:

* The accents. The Eternals were sent to Earth 7,000 years ago, yet Ikaris had a Scottish accent from the get-go, at a point probably before the Scots themselves existed. That kept taking me out of the film every time he spoke. Same with Kingo and the rest.

* Across the film, I developed a real dislike for Sprite, and once Kingo articulated the J.M. Barrie theory of their group, it became concrete for me. I've always detested Tinkerbelle.

* I really, really dislike suicide. My discomfort with this particular plot point may eventually lead to my dismissal of this film, and refusal to watch it anymore.
