Won't happen. They did that with Al Sharpton years ago. They moved him from weeknights to the weekends (and replaced him with Ari Melber). More recently, they canceled Joshua Johnson's weekend show and moved him to Peacock. If they moved Joy back to weekends, there would be huge backlash, with black people accusing MSNBC of canceling or demoting all of its black hosts. 1. After graduating from Harvard in the 90s, Reid worked as a tv journalist in the 90's. She also wrote about politics, including as a political columnist for the Miami Herald. MSNBC brought her on because of her coverage of the killing of Trayvon Martin. She's not now nor has she ever been an actress. She was hired to be a tv journalist, because she was qualified for the job.
