They waived the filibuster last week to raise the debt ceiling. Let’s not act like this is some sacred procedure.
So what is the real reason the junior senator from Arizona, a democrat, is blocking this?

She’s a Repug infiltraitor.

It's about money.
Strike her and Manchin off the list on this side. Focus on getting some Republicans on our voting side, bill by bill. Give them the pork, not to these hucksters.

Please primary this bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 16, 2021 1:11 AM |
Loathe this bitch. LOATHE her.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 16, 2021 1:13 AM |
She'll turn trumpster in 1, 2,3...
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 16, 2021 1:16 AM |
I get a pit in my stomach about this one.
Never a good sign.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 16, 2021 1:18 AM |
If she runs again in 2024, Ruben Gallego will primary her and win. She is a greedy, self-serving cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 16, 2021 1:21 AM |
Cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 16, 2021 2:02 AM |
Someone needs to get to her and Manchin, I mean in the way of a storyline we would have seen on Scandal.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 16, 2021 2:46 AM |
at this point R9 is the only way you'd see these two change course. Also, getting one of them on our side on any issue would probably force the other to move.
Its like with the "moderate" dems who are really corporatists. They move in a block. When one decides they'll say, side with the bank lobby over a bill or appointment, the others immediately move to that position so they give the lobbyists what they want since constituents dont pay attention or care. its like getting extra credit for something when theres no credit to be on the other side--until the legislation is likely to pass or the group decides its worth joining the other dems.

Who puppeteers Sinema and Manchin?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 16, 2021 2:58 AM |
Ruben Gallego is the answer, R7. He was just kicking ass on Lawrence on MSNBC tonight.. But for now, I agree get some moderate senator beg them, offer them good enticements they want maybe peel off a few.

Remember when everyone was ecstatic when she won?

[quote] in the way of a storyline we would have seen on Scandal.
Let's add a few Supremes (and I don't mean Miss Ross)

R7, she doesn't care. She knows that after this she can say goodbye to her place in the senate, but she has received enough donations from corporate interest groups and made enough powerful friends, so as to ensure that she will live in the lap of luxury for the rest of her life. She has used her political career as a trampoline towards greater things, as she has earned enough goodwill among corporate elites to be protected for the rest of her life... Or until the time she becomes a liability. However, knowing her, she will make sure that they can always make good use of her services.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 16, 2021 2:44 PM |
Supposedly she has delusions that she's going to be the Democratic nominee in 2024.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 14, 2022 4:57 AM |
Betraying her country. Protection of voter rights is critically important as we teeter on the edge of the abyss, and she is in a position to do something about it and she won’t. She’s any enemy of democracy, and when the US is a dystopian right wing hellhole I hope history remembers what a villain she is. How do these people live with themselves?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 14, 2022 5:02 AM |
Nancy Pelosi needs to give her a good, hard, square-on kick in the cunt.
With her stilettos on.

Worth repeating: Where’s a sharpshooter when you need them?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 14, 2022 5:07 AM |
Bought and Paid For.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 14, 2022 5:08 AM |
Everyone has their price. There's no logical reason why they (and a handful of Republicans) wouldn't support Biden's policies to help Americans.
Mitch surveyed the scene and knew what he had to do: pay them to do his bidding.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 14, 2022 5:24 AM |
R22 Someone should just pay more. A LOT more.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 14, 2022 6:12 AM |
hope she gets raped
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 14, 2022 6:12 AM |
We have this in local elections in PA -- GQP masquerading as Democrats. They get called out and don't win. I'm sure Sinema used her queer lady status to try to avoid detection. She is clearly not a member of the Democratic party.

I voted for this hot mess, contributed to her campaign, and just used her 'contact' form to ask her to resign.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 14, 2022 6:33 AM |
we are very lucky the parties are so polarized or she probably already would have jumped ship to the Republicans and given them control of the Senate. The thing that makes senators jump parties is how they are treated by their own party.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 14, 2022 6:34 AM |
Here's her contact form so you can tell her how you feel. Suggestion: be nice, be firm, lay some reality on her (she's unelectable).
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 14, 2022 6:40 AM |
She might not be in as bad shape in a primary as we would like to think. All it would take is for the Republicans in Az to register en mass for the primary and vote for her.
