When President Obama dies, will people celebrate like they did with Colin Powell?

What do you think?

by Anonymousreply 15October 22, 2021 11:41 AM

The fact he was the first Black president will probably negate his war crimes.

The Iraq war is worse than anything Obama did.

Are people really celebrating Colin Powell? They're more like pointing out that he squandered his hard-won reputation selling a lie to the American people that wound up killing millions.

It was only when he repudiated his political party and mentors that he achieved even a small amount of forgiveness.

OP = Repug trash

by Anonymousreply 4October 21, 2021 8:05 PM

R3 I saw a lot of people happy about Powell dying.

by Anonymousreply 5October 21, 2021 8:14 PM

Without the Iraq War we wouldn't have Al-Qaeda. Think about that for a second...

by Anonymousreply 6October 21, 2021 8:14 PM

R6 You mean ISIS.

by Anonymousreply 7October 21, 2021 8:15 PM

"You don't want the Iraq War, hunh??? Do you love Saddam?? What do you LOVE SADDAM??? DO YOU LOVE RAPE ROOMS??? DO YOU LOVE RAPE???"

by Anonymousreply 8October 21, 2021 8:54 PM

Yes I meant ISIS. Thank you r7.

No, but they will when Trump dies. Hope it's soon.

That biopic Barry on Netflix about Obama's Columbia days was really good.

by Anonymousreply 11October 22, 2021 4:11 AM

They will celebrate his life, not celebrate that he died. He is the most beloved president since Reagan (just different crowds of admirers).
