Do you sing to your pets and/or give them nicknames?

No, I call them "dog."

So much singing to the dog. My wife even has composed tunes for the little guy. And then when he refuses to leave her side I sing a modified, off-key version “Close to you” to both of them.

Aretha's "Save Me" started most days, but I substituted "Sadie" for "Save Me" and my dog didn't mind.

No singing, but lots of revolting babytalk, only when no one else can hear it.

Of course! I don't really sing to the cat but I do sing to, and whistle to our parrot. The cat would look at me like I'm nuts.

yes, every dog has to have their own song. I don't sing to my cats though, i just call them stupid, silly names.

Why would you give a pet a "nickname"? Why not just make that the pet's name?

Under certain circumstances I call her Shithead or Little Asshole.

You can get dogs to howl along with "Some Enchanted Evening" while the cats enjoy the footwork.
