I certainly understand the feelings, but technically that's not even remotely legal. No one can dictate to whom you may talk to on your own time.

This has nothing to do with who they talk ABOUT. It's about who they talk TO. I'll say it again, no employer can tell an employee who they can talk to on their own time.

Legally, an employer can't tell you not to talk to a former employee. But look at Don Felder and Joe Walsh (Eagles) who were good friends. Don Felder asked to see the books (supposed to be equal partners with Don Henley and Glen Frey). Next thing you know, there's lawyers involved. Felder parted ways with the group; Joe Walsh wants to keep his job and no longer talks with Felder.
