When has Mexican border been "closed"?

I have been crossing over to Mexico for dental work and no one has said anything on either side of the border so it appears it was never closed really.

As a Canadian from BC, with over 80% of us in the province fully vaccinated (and most of us wearing masks/social distancing), I’ve found it a bit insulting that people from the U.S. are allowed to come here, while we’re not allowed there.

Like who wants Canadian visitors? At least the Mexicans spend some money here.

Vaccinated when? The first round of vaccines are wearing off.

This is bad. I don't want Canadians going down to the states with low vaccination rates and coming back up here. Opening the land border makes this too easy.

Damn. This ban of Canadians solved a problem I've had for 15 years. I swear like twice a year some guy from college would show up wanting lodging. Rudeness didn't work, ignoring didn't work, hotel recommendations didn't work. Covid kept him away though.
