What do you think of these suggestions? Many of them are reminiscent of Datalounge baby name threads. Is this a sister site?
Sebastiana.

I was so annoyed about Holy Confirmation that I took the very Jewish name Leon for my Confirmation name. That got 'em.

That was a scary site and link, OP. I suppose you know/recognize the organization behind that site is what's sometimes called the "renegade" catholic group, whose bishops were excommunicated and which doesn't recognize anything but the old Mass in Latin as being legitimate.
In the olden days, it was recommended that Catholic children be named after saints - but there were gadzillions of those, with many names local derivatives of saints' names. Austin could be from Augustine for example. A billion forms of John. Juan, Jeanne, Jean, Ivan, Johann, Sean, Giovanni, Gianni, Ian, Evan, Jack, Ewen, Siobhan, Shawn, Joan, Jon, Sinead, Hans, Ivanka, Gian, Shona, Yanni, Yannis, Janos, and the list goes on and on.
My particular name was borne by at least 6 saints and 16 popes, but is no longer as common a boy's name as it was in the 1950s (big clue there).

My aunt (now deceased) became a nun at age 18, back in the ‘60s. At the time, every nun in her order was named “Sister Mary [Guy’s Name].” She was Sister Mary Philip.
Years later, her order changed course, and they all used “Sister” and then their actual first name.

I’m well aware of the website, I enjoy looking at it because it’s a weird combo of Catholicism and Qanon conspiracy theories. I really wanted to post this thread that they have comparing Macy’s back to school clothes from 10 years ago with today’s. You could put the thread on Datalounge and wouldn’t know the difference. “Those kids look trans!” Unfortunately, it’s in a members only area.

So are they Catholic or excommunicated?

They’re still Catholic, they just go to churches with other crazies who have the same beliefs. They hate the Pope though.

r24, In their minds, they are the ONLY true Catholics, and consider the other 1 billion or so Catholics distributed across the globe as being heretical.
