Shows suck because they are on so long. TV would be dead today without NFL football

Wow, how sad

by Anonymousreply 2September 21, 2021 5:50 PM

Yep sad

This is why cable died. That and it was 5 times what I am paying now once I cut the cord and went full on Internet.

And people think it was an aberration that Triumph was president.

Just part of a trend downward.

Cable is dying because of how expensive it is r4. Has nothing to do with programs.

People are cutting the chord because it’s too expensive now. My uncle pays $213 a month and only has basic cable with 1 landline phone and the lowest internet speed. Nuts!

My mom pays around the same without the landline but with a second cable box.

R6 People are cutting the chord

Oh dear!

by Anonymousreply 7October 2, 2021 9:21 PM

People aren't really cutting the cord. They are just using streaming, most of which goes back into a cable provider's pocket through their ISP run by the cable company.

Perhaps the new digital ATSC 3.0 will solve the over the air problems that makes the current digital TV suck.

If there's any doubt that broadcast network TV has been dead for decades, I refer you to OP's list.

Who the fuck watches this drivel? I ask that and the question is right here in many of the threads on Data Lounge, but I still can't believe that there are gay Americans watching The View, Ellen, those sickening Good Morning/Today shows, threads about the "New Fall TV Lineup", major network news, CSI in its infinite variations, moaning about the loss decades ago of the shittiest shows ever like The Nanny, or Designing Women, or shows for fat teenage girls from the 1980s.

I’m dying to know what high brow stuff R9 watches in his ivory tower.
