When I was a kid and starting to get interested in bands like that back in 2002, I heard some classmates say that Joey was gay. They were older and knew Slipknot better than I did.

Oy, that’s a real beauty.

Eh, personally I more preferred Korn and Chevelle and Deftones pretty much every other Scuzz and nu-metal and thrash and core band at the time they were popular.

Still a very sad loss, though. Slipknot are a talented group of musicians, often underrated and unfairly derided due to their clever mask schtick. I’ll take them over Marilyn ‘Fat’ Manson anyday.

By the by, lead singer Corey Taylor really held on to his looks and his body, too. DL don’t talk about that enough.
