BOSTONIANS - Talk to me about suburban Boston towns
It seems many MA natives post here, and I need info on Boston's surrounding towns - the slimy, the swanky, the so-so.
Are North and South Shore towns the most elite? Or what about the western ones?
How do these towns differ from suburban NYC? Are they like typical midwestern suburbs, more spread out? Guessing not, as it's a smaller state, but...Help!!

What is suburban NYC? Is it like Queens and Staten Island and Long Island?

There are many towns north, west and south of Boston with beautiful neighborhoods and not much to do after 9pm.

The wealthiest Boston suburban towns are:
West of Boston: Wellesley, Newton, Weston, Wayland, Lincoln, Carlisle
North of Boston: Marblehead, Nahant, Manchester-by-the Sea
South of Boston: Milton, Cohasset, Scituate

Beverly, north of Boston, has two rather exclusive enclaves: Pride's Crossing and The Cove. Wealthy tech execs are moving in and changing the landscape with their McMansions.

My ex-husband was from Sudbury. Ugh. But Chris Evans is from there.

R1 Queens and Staten Island are boroughs of New York City. The suburbs are Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester counties in New York state. There are also suburbs across the Hudson in New Jersey.

What kind of a town is Roslindale?

There are many shitholes immediately northeast of the metro area. Malden? Swampscott? The name says it all.
The South Shore is largely a blue color dump: Brockton, Randolph, etc..
Some of the immediate north and west suburbs have some of the wealthiest zip codes in the country. Your Belmonts, your Brooklines.
In any event, once you travel beyond Cambridge/Arlington/Somerville to the north, Southie/Quincy to the south, and Chestnut Hill to the west, there are hardly any walkable downtowns or public transit options apart from commuter rail.

don’t reply to these “Tell me about (place)” threads. They’re posted by overseas trolls who are looking for specific local favor so when they spoof real Americans online they sound authentic.
Die you motherfuckers. Fucking Russians, Fucking Chinks.
