The GOP has anti-government, anti-americans within its leadership from the local to the national level, and for years these people have been calling on their base to do just this. Back in the first Obama administration one of their guys with a good-sized online presence was telling his followers to throw bricks through their local Democratic offices. People promptly followed his instructions, as well as vandalizing the homes of local Democratic leaders.

The "both sides" apologists can't explain how we have not seen similar calls for violence from Democratic leaders, nor similar levels of attacks on GOP leaders.
