Of all the African-American performers who were nominated for best actress, who gave your favourite performance?

I can't add all of them in the poll since they are more than 10, so I added the most prominent ones there and the rest are below:

Ruth Negga - Loving

Cynthia Erivo - Harriet

Andrea Day - The United States vs. Billie Holiday

Viola Davis - Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

1. Woopie was just phenomenal in The color Purple. One of the best performance ever black or white actresses combined. From the beginning to the end she is amazing in it. The film is absolutely beautiful but without her it would never have become this great classic. This was when Spielberg was at the top of his talent.

2 Viola and Octavia in The Help were just amazing

3. Angela Basset as Tina Turner was perfect.

Hands down, Cicely Tyson. Then, Whoopi.

I think Margaret Avery and Oprah were both nominated in supporting, not lead.

Ruth Negga is not African-American.
