Part of this is definitely about money. They were only married 2 years, so Angie wasn't entitled to much in the divorce. The child support payments were the big payday, and this latest custody order threatens that. Angie's not making the money she once had, and she likes to spend. She'll have to retrench or maybe make a play for bachelor Bill Gates.

I agree with a lot of what you said, R92, but remember how fast all those kids happened. Brad went from having no kids in 2005 to having 6 kids by 2008. He adopted Maddox and Zahara in early 2006, and Angelina gave birth to Shiloh in May. At that point, he did want to slow down, which is why he was reluctant at first to adopt Pax. But Angie got her way on that, and he adopted Pax in early 2008, and then the twins were born that summer.

He should have put his foot down after Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh, but he didn't. And he'll live with that choice forever.

She doesn't complain that her other exes Jonny Lee Miller (who she was just papped visiting by her photog) and Billy Bob worked with Weinstein after her alleged encounter with him. And there is no denying all the pics of her on the red carpet for Harvey films.

If Brad confronted and stood Harvey down for Paltrow why wouldn't he have done that for Jolie? Did he not love her as much as he loved Paltrow? That makes no sense. I think he's very conflicted. The kids need one sane parent who puts their interest first and since day one that has not been Jolie. Does Brad go public and call out the mother of his children as a liar and a terrible parent or does he remain silent and just be there for the kids?

He was manipulated to feel guilty from the beginning and he immediately took action and dealt with whatever issues he had or whatever he felt his part in the demise of the marriage. She pretended she wanted joint custody and to co-parent but her actions have proven the opposite. From the start she filed for sole custody (she has never withdrawn or amended that request) and all her actions since have shown that to be true. She has fought him having shared custody all the way for 5 years. Brad said in that interview he did back in 2017 that he wanted to fight in court but he was advised against it because fighting in court was just harmful to the children so he believed her when she said she was on the same page as him. As we now know she wasn't. She was probably just trying to delay him taking any action in court - it would be another year before he took her to court. That delay gave her time to really alienate the kids and separate them as much as possible from their father. Parental alienation works more easily that way. She was accused by Brad's lawyers in court of playing games with his parenting time. She also probably wanted to be nice so she could get that $8 million from him to buy that mansion.

So is he a coward? Maybe or maybe he is trying to handle a crazy ex wife dead set on destroying him from doing anything rash or harmful to his children. I would like to see him address the issues - but I have read his lawyers court filings and though they remain professional, they don't exactly spare her in them. And Brad may realize that no one in the industry believes her that he was abusive to her or the kids. They know him and they know her.

Where did that come from? That never came out at all.

Brad's drug of choice was pot. Jolie's drug of choice was a heroin & crack cocktail. I never read or heard anything credible about Brad cheating on her or using hookers. Same with her. Pitt says he stopped smoking once he had kids. Jolie claims she stopped heroin & crack without any need for rehab or counseling or therapy. She doesn't really discuss if she stopped the cutting or suicidal ideation.

Men are particularly susceptible to alcohol abuse as they enter their 40s and early 50s. Men who like to drink socially can handle a lot of alcohol normally but that ability changes drastically when their bodies can no longer metabolize alcohol as they get older. Same thing happened to me and I have seen it in others. Men can be stubborn - no offense - and it takes a while to realize they have to cut back considerably or just stop drinking. That's a different type of alcohol problem and many of those people once they realize it are capable of handling it. That seems to be what happened to Pitt. He stopped, volunteered to do regular testing and even went to AA. For as visible and scrutinized as he has been for 40 years there have never been reports of him drunk or out of control and if he had been some violent angry drunk the public would know it. At least the industry would know about it. That just doesn't seem to be the case.

Pitt has acknowledged he had a problem and worked to address it. Jolie does not believe she had any hand in the divorce and that her parental alienation was somehow justified - for 5 years. I don't know how you co-parent with someone like that.
