What is the worst "fall from grace" you have seen first hand?
Just curious what the worst fall from grace you have seen first hand (not celebrities or sensational news stories, but in your realm).
Mine: I know a very fit and very attractive guy. He became a firefighter (I have photos). When the economy tanked a few years ago, the fire department laid him off for budgetary reasons. He was probably 26 or 27. He had nowhere to go and ended up moving in with a sugar daddy.
I knew the daddy. He was into some very wild and kinky sex. A little after a year later, I went over to the daddy's house for a shindig. We all got drunk and I asked what happened to the younger guy. He said his asshole got torn open too many times and had to find tighter pussy. Damn.
A few years later I was at the country club and the younger was the golf pro. Apparently he ended up being the boy of another daddy who liked sloppy loose ass. Only other way he got the golf pro job. LOL.
I'm still trying to fuck him though.

The fall- this once hot and fit firefighter ended up being with probably at least three or four daddies to become a poorly paid golf pro.
He's still hot and fit, just poor with a torn up asshole living off country club Republican daddies.

I saw a lot of nasty whores who thought they were hot shit waste away, shrivel up, and die a painful death from AIDS.
Does that count?

Meth has taken quite a few people down. I was shocked to find out how many once successful, educated people used such a drug. Doctors, dentists, firefighters, ect.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||06/08/2021|
R3 Any specific examples? What was the worst you saw? Meth is terrible. Worse than being a whore with a sloppy pussy putting out for low paying jobs.

There was a very sweet girl at my work who was married with a couple of kids. Then there started to be rumors about her doing it with the security guy. Then she started falling behind in her work. Then there were rumors about her doing it with a couple other guys at work. Then we hear she’s getting divorced and her kids are moving with their dad. She starts openly sobbing at her desk. Gets fired and leaves the office in a blaze of glory calling her boss a bitch.

There was a guy I knew in high school who was as nice as could be to everyone, even to a shy "weirdo"/loner like me. He was pretty good looking too. Sometimes he pinged to me. He was an "ally" with many LGBT friends. I figured he'd probably come out as gay or bi himself after high school, but he never did.
Anyway, I recently wondered what he was up to so I searched his name and found out he was arrested for stalking/terrorizing an ex-girlfriend and making her life a living hell. I was shocked. He didn't strike me as the person who'd ever do things like what I read. I thought he must've either changed a lot since high school, maybe got into drugs since his mugshot made it look like he could barely keep his eyes open, or he had us all fooled all along.

R7 gosh. Did he go to college or anything?! Remember John Hinckley Jr grew up in Highland Park, Dallas TX to an affluent family.
R5 what happened to her now??
|by Anonymous||reply 8||06/08/2021|
R8 Yes, I believe he did.

I knew a woman who was an equestrian and was an instructor of the children of the rich and famous. She married a very rich guy and started a horse sanctuary. She raised a lot of money thru her non-profit, thanks to her husband's connections. Fast forward about 3 or 4 years, her horse sanctuary was raided by the authorities. Severe neglect and abuse of horses, and other animals. Her marriage completely fell apart at that time. She took an Alford plea and served time in jail. She didn't have to pay much in fines, but her dirty laundry was played out in the news and media.

The now sloppy loose golf pro is fuckable as hell. Too bad I can’t share a pic of him

In college I became friends with a graduate student whose work as a playwright won numerous awards. His writing was always edgy but it paled compared to his sexual escapades, which were extreme even for the 70's. He eventually became the esteemed head of the theatre department at a very prestigious all-boys prep school. A few years into his tenure, the school discovered hidden cameras in the boys locker room. After the investigation traced it back to this guy, the police discovered a large stash of photos and other films he had recorded one-on-one with numerous students. He was tried and convicted of producing child pron and sent to prison. He died a few years after his release.

I knew (well, was acquainted with) a man who was a school teacher and in the SCA (a larp type thing) who was arrested for child murder.

OP, I don’t think your fireman was in any special state of grace; his fall was going from fireman to golf pro?
Not sure why you feel this Schadenfreude about him...
|by Anonymous||reply 19||06/08/2021|
OP. Not gonna lie. That story of you turned me on.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||06/08/2021|
Same as R17. All the guys I thought were hot and lusted after turned fat, bald, and ugly. And I don't mean 30 years after High School... I mean in as little as 5-10 years after high school.
It was so weird. 15 years after high school graduation, I was in the best shape of my life, living in another state, with a great job, and an active social life... while all the hot out-of-my-league guys I lusted after in High School were fat, ugly slobs... married and having never left their home town.

Me. I had a job leading a small IT group at a mid size, successful company. Pulling in 6 figures in an area that let me live like a prince on that salary. Great boyfriend, all that. Plus, I served as the ops manager for all the significant projects at work and enjoyed great success.
I got a little big for my britches and was calling out the asshole CEO on his BS in front of people during meetings. People often told me they wish they had the balls to talk to him that way.
You guessed it, canned right when I reached 50 and just before the COVID pandemic. Replaced by a cheaper, younger less qualified admin who made half what I did and didn’t even get the title. Those of you in my age bracket know how much fun it is trying to job search at my age and as a white guy.
I am a recovering alcoholic and through all this I never touched a drop. Active in AA, took meetings to prisons, volunteered in inner city schools. All BS. Boyfriend had started drinking before all this and wanted somebody to drink with. After about the 10th time of turning down his boozy overtures I succumbed. (Not his fault. I’m the one who took the drink handed to me). Next thing you know, I am doing meth and sleeping around with some serious trade and contracted HIV.
Now I do do contract tech work, am about to lose the house and have lost my friends. Boyfriend disappeared when I could no longer pay for lavish meals and great vacations. I have nowhere to go and my savings are trashed. I took out a loan against my 401K to pay everything down. And now I spend my days doing work that my reports used to hand out to their underlings. No paid vacation and no company provided insurance.
I would swallow my glock if I didn’t worry about what it would do to those who still love me. I still might.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||06/09/2021|
Many years ago, I knew a rather portly guy from my gay AA meeting who used to say he was a virgin from the neck down (I believed him). He was a big shot at a state agency, and set to rise to even greater heights (he was in his mid 30s).
Well, he got pulled over for -- drunk driving? Speeding? I don't remember, this was so long ago. He propositioned the cop (OK, he must have been drunk) and said he would give the cop a blow job if the cop would let him go. Ooops.
What a downfall after that... He was unceremoniously fired, and he went to work where all the disgraced state government workers went to work as a low-level pharma employee. I don't know what happened to him after that. I left town for greener pastures and I never saw him again.
It would be a lot easier to track all my old AA buddies if AA wasn't anonymous... Hope he ended up OK.

|by Anonymous||reply 24||06/09/2021|
My father's accountant was an obnoxious, snobbish, condescending, arrogant man, he went bankrupt through divorce and poor money management. No one felt sorry for him. An old boss of mine, also snobbish and condescending, who owes me and a lot of other people a lot of money, also went to the wall. Karma's a bitch. I'm 35 and yet all the hot guys i went to school with look like they're in their late 40s: bald, overweight etc., too much booze and Australian sun, and too little self discipline. An ex of mine, a young cute twink and a consummate asshole, is now fat, balding and working at a supermarket. Karma is such a bitch.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||06/09/2021|
The only gay fireman I've known was also an insatiable bottom, he really got off on being a 'secret' bottom slut and wanted me to whisper to him in public that I owned his ass, and what I was going to do to it in private, wanting to be slipped a finger etc.
Not got anything to add to the actual topic at hand, the OP just reminded me of him. I wonder if all gay firemen are voracious bottoms?
|by Anonymous||reply 30||06/09/2021|
R5 How did that “sweet” whore find the time to work or raise her kids with all that whoring around? And I’m guessing the guys that she fucked dropped her like a hot potato when she was fired, huh?
|by Anonymous||reply 31||06/09/2021|
R22 PLEASE tell me this story is made up? If not, how did you find out you were HIV positive and how did you deal with the news? Do you still do meth? If not how did you get off and if you still do it, how do you work?

|by Anonymous||reply 35||06/09/2021|
You seem obsessed with his "sloppy hole," and count me as agreeing that your schadenfreude over him seems odd. Let it go, OP. I don't know why you're fixated on this guy's misfortune. Seems like you started this thread just to crow over it. Did he do something to you?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||06/09/2021|
Either hot golf pro dumped OP or hot golf pro turned OP down.
Hot golf pro might have a "sloppy hole" but at least he's not needy, obsessive OP, fixated on some guy who doesn't even know he's alive.

A guy i went to high school with, a year older than me, back in the 1980's... NOT a friend, barely a acquaintance. BUT, he was the typical high school jock stud that everyone knew about. Blonde, blue eyed, square jaw, built, etc. Came from a upper class family and seemingly a classy family..
flash forward a few years became a lawyer at a good law firm...
flash forward more years later, turns out for some reason, whatever reason became a drug addict and overdosed. Perfect example of the man who seemingly had everything and yet?
|by Anonymous||reply 39||06/09/2021|
There are very few second chances given in the US anymore.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||06/09/2021|
This has been totally forgotten (I only remember it because the guy was my law professor at the time) and I would classify it more as the "quickest" fall from grace. In any event, in the 80s, Ronald Reagan nominated Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, but that nomination crashed and burned when everyone discovered what a wacko extremist he was. In haste, Reagan came up with 41 year old Douglas Ginsburg who was my reg law professor at Columbia. at the time. There was much clinking of champagne glasses and words of congratulations as he set off for Washington and we all assumed we would be getting a replacement professor.
In a couple of days he was back with his tail between his legs. His nomination was torpedoed almost immediately when it was discovered that he had - brace yourselves - SMOKED MARIJUANA AS A COLLEGE STUDENT IN THE 1960s! This was actually funny because the guy we knew was a totally nerdy egghead type.
Of course today accused rapists make it to the Supreme Court while marijuana is legal in many states. And Robert Bork would probably be considered too even-handed by today's Repug Senators.

The collinboy poster comes to mind. He was an Afghanistan or Iraq veteran. He became a New York City model and had like ten daddies over the years. Now he is working at a Starbucks in San Antonio.
Probably fat too

R10, I have said this before, but Elliot Spitzer really did fuck up. And he fucked things up for everybody, because he should have been President. He is so damn smart and his views on everything are correct and perfect. Damn it, Elliot.

I have also seen a few very beautiful blonde white girls from good families get involved with some nasty and dangerous black guys. It seems they get addicted and spiral out of control- drop out of college, not working, multiple kids from different dads, dad disappears.
A stereotype but it happens so much

A friend of mine briefly dated a guy, who later went on to date another woman after they broke up. He was a coroner at the time and making good money. I would have never guessed him to be the type of person to do something like this, but he beat the shit out of his then girlfriend. She went on FB and posted pictures of her injuries. He lost his job, his house, everything. Thankfully he never laid a hand on my friend while they were dating.

A phoney baloney social climber who was front and center at every gay or society charity event and who clearly wished he was a rich white lady (he was none of those). Frustrated performer, he found an outlet in our local gay chorus and well-tolerated singing drag queen who "demanded donations." Plus all the staged happy home photos and a long time partner (never married; often drunk, who tolerated lots of well-known outside shenanigans).
It all quietly ceased and then everyone came to discover the love nest had been raided by the FBI who seized all electronic devices and found nearly 10,000 images of child porn. Gurl had been texting another perv and that perv got busted and they found the texts. A year later it all came crashing down - the arraignment (after his texts were used to bust others), a plea deal, 18 months in Federal prison at a Covid hotspot in PA, the expected break-up of the perfect marriage.
Now it's like he never existed, although he's inexplicably come back to our town, which is not where he grew up. I can't wait to run into him so I can channel my best Lucille Bluth.

I know r24. Luxury problems. (Gratitude meetings are usually run by lazy chairs)
I wasn’t looking for pity (well, the glock bit was a bit much). I was responding to the topic.
R32 - I found out in rehab. I shared it with the group and dealt with it the only way I could, acceptance. It gave me the opportunity to face it and I hope that it served as a positive example for other people. I was told that it was, but that could have just been people putting a positive spin on things.
The rehab helped me with the addiction and I have given up on being a master of the universe anymore. I just want to pay my bills, leave no mess and enjoy my life. Grateful? Well I guess fearless really is just another word………

I used to work in law enforcement and saw several officers get prosecuted themselves. Patrol cops shaking down people that they pull over, pressuring women (arrestees) for sex, etc. I wouldn't call it "falling from grace" because a lot of the cops were suspect to me in the first place.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||06/12/2021|
Which “speaking up” are you referring to r55. I do regret calling out the CEO in front of people. Some of the things I said should have been in private and others would have been better left unsaid as they would not prompt any change.
If you are referring to posting my story here, of course I don’t regret it and it was somewhat cathartic.
