Official Fosse, Fosse, Fosse thread - Post your favourite Fosse pieces here.

War is a Science

I like this one. It's fun, it's very Fosse and captures the spirit of Pippin and the 70s well.

Gwen is " 'Erbie Fitch's Twitch" from "Redhead" -- she's supposed to be doing a bad audition of her father's corny material, but she can't help being brilliant (I mean, she's Gwen!)

Here's Snake in the Grass from The Little Prince, from 1974 starring Fosse himself. You can clearly see how his style influenced performers like Michael Jackson and Beyoncé.

Dancin’ was a terrible show with two brilliant pieces: Dancin Man and Sing Sing Sing. The rest was dreadful including Yankee Doodle DISCO at the end. Why did it run so long? Foreign tourists.

R9 I remember seeing that as a gayling and being unbelievably turned on

by Anonymousreply 11May 30, 2021 9:39 PM

A favorite Fosse piece.

[quote] Good dancing and brilliant choreography is never dated, R5.

Of course that's not true. Everything dates.

I'm also not sure everything he did was brilliant.
