Something stinks here. 300k salary plus car service (no commute fees), lunches paid for, many dinners paid for, free clothes, free everything. Even in expensive NYC he should have been able to buy without a rent a center option. And Conde used to help top execs with home purchases.

Why was he renting? Either they really were racist or this fat bitch had some major, MAJOR issues relating to her credit and cash flow that caused him to be a renter on a property under million dollars.

R13 Apparently, one of the reasons he couldn't finance the house himself via a traditional mortgage loan was because it was going to be pretty impossible for him to go that route due to IRS's claim that he owed back taxes. That was in the original NYT article on the the current lawsuit over the house.

He had the job of a lifetime really.. if he was unhappy with the 300k and all the perks, he should have left, no matter what the other editors made.

If he had a real, valuable skill, he'd have the opportunity to earn a good salary. But Andre doesn't have a real, valuable skill so he's dependent on people who find him witty or charming or sarcastic or whatever. When those people tired of him, he had nowhere else to go except an entry level desk job which MISS THING WOULD NEVAH!

Anna Wintour went to Conde Nast and got him to back a loan or something so ALT could buy that property in North Carolina for is then living grandmother (or was it his mother?). In any event even then ALT was a mooch and unable to get is finances in order.

R21 Yes, the North Carolina place was for Talley's then-living grandmother, who raised him. .. And in a 2020 article, he indicated he still owns the house and said it's where he stores his 50 pieces of Louis Vuitton hand luggage (the ones he used to use yacht varnish on). .. It's a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath and with a current Zillow estimate of just over $700,000 . And idiots thought he needed a gofundme.
